do you have any of the disgaea games, if not grab all three of them, 3 is for the ps3 and really cheap.

I only played the demo for a few minutes but Rogue Galaxy looks like fun. If you haven't played Shadow of the Colossus yet, I recommend with every inch of my being that you go get it immediately. As Siegrich said, Disgaea is good, but if you don't like hardcore grinding it may not be for you. If you are looking for something other than RPG, the Megaman X Collection is fun.

And while we are on the subject, I too am looking for a good JRPG to play on either 360 or PS2.

No RPG nor FPS, but I'm still going to be stubborn and recommend the fantastic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (or better: Subsistance) to you.

i have contemplated getting them and i got one for the psp yet never opened it yet, i suppose i will give it a try, since it looks like a good game, though i have learned almost no ps2 rpg can stack up to the .//hack games

If you are looking for a jrpg, I would recommend Final Fantasy X or Dragon Quest 8, both pretty good but you probably already played those.

The Transformers game was pretty good. NOT THE ONE BASED OFF OF THE MOVIE

A great TPS, beautiful and with great enemy AI too.

Ratchet & Clank games after the original are all fantastic.

Grandia 2 and Star Ocean 3 are two overlooked JRPGs on the PS2. Same with Grandia 3 and Grandia Xtreme. But Xtreme isn't very good, imo.

Do you mean the version that came out a few years back? I got it for PS2 and it was surprisingly cool, the levels were massive and had lots to explore.

It was rockin playing as Optimus too but god, how great it would have been if they made a game with G1 Optimus and co...

Hmmm as far as rpg's or even jrpg's go i'd recomend either Grandia 3(i never played the first 2 but i thought 3 was an awesome game) Or of course Parasite Eve. Grandia 3 is a done by square and has some of the fastest most interesting turnbased combat around to it's day. And parasite eve is just dope.

heres some battle footage of G3:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2e18nKFA9U

And parasite eve:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-Tcl6qvfy4
