It's been awhile since we've had a good old fashioned thread about our favorite robots that stand more than three stories tall so lets have it.

What are your favorite giant robots from anywhere or anything. Mine happen to be

ms-07b gouf

and the ms-06 Zaku II

Captcha: space shuttle

Yes captcha I know the gouf can't go in space shut up.

Can't have a topic like this without at least a little (Or, preferably, a lot) of Battletech!

(Warning, some of these spoilers contain multiple large images, from 2-7)

And hey, while we're at it, why not some 40K?

As you can tell, I like my mech/robots big and ugly.

I'd honestly have to go with Megas from Megas XLR, because chicks dig giant robots.

Not necessarily the greatest design, but I have a certain fondness for "Orange" from Aldnoah Zero.

Seriously, whatever faults this show has (loooots) it was the perfect response to what had worn me out of the mecha genre. The tired tripe of the main character getting the best robot and just steamrolling hundreds of other people who didn't get the best robot. This show flips that on its head and gives all the villains the best robots, and the main character and their allies are woefully outmatched, but they still have to make do with what they have. They also flip the numbers, typically the good guys outnumber the villains.

From what I've seen, I also like a lot of the designs in Muv Luv too, although I haven't watched the show

Well, the answer is obvious:

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling dooooown.

Alternatively the Gurren Lagann, which I'm surprised no one mentioned yet.

Favorite is still the good old classic VF-1 Valkyrie from macross

Close Second is Windam from Rayearth(some may nitpick this choice, but he and the other Mashin are definately meant to invoke mecha)

Long-Fang Black Mamba from Heavy Gear

Stormrider from Jovian Chronicles

Aaliyah from Armored Core 4

Fei-Yen from Virtual-on

aaaand I'm gonna stop here or I'll be here all night listing off and sourcing picture

Damnit all the good ones are taken, and I don't want to be the boring one saying TTGL.
I'll Take the Gurren from Code geese (misspeling intended), the show became shit in the second show and Lancelot was ridiculously broken, boring robot. But Gurren was badass with a badass pilot and had thermal claws.
Saying Gurren Lagann is not a crime. IT'S THE MANLIEST CHOICE THERE CAN BE!!

OT: There are alot of good entries here, and alot of them hit my high fave spots, including Big O and Megas and a number of others. But...since I don't want to be a copycat, I'm kicking it old school!

Let's see-

Come on! It's the sizes of several galaxies! I never seen anything like it!

Also I just so happened to bought a Jeager figure from the film Pacific rim

Ok technically Crimson Typhoon is my favourite from the film cos Blue only made a cameo. Before you asked me why I didn't get Typhoon in figure form, well it was a tough choise. It was either that, blue or Tatic Ronin but from what I read Crimon was abit too top heavy and while Ronin had better ankle meaning better poseablity but I didn't like the overal shape of it. Romeon Blue won me over and I enjoyed the figure for the most part. I typed most cos the figure came out really stiff upon opening out of the package but using an hairdryer sorted it out but the only flaw it got is that one of the knee joint is still glue so it lost abit of poseability.

As for the Gundams-

I really like the design for it being a grunt suit and it was lackluster at best.

By gods the model of it was godly. I loved how sharped it was compared to the usual blocky Gundam that some tend to be!

Another bias opinion cos I owned a model of it. I like how different compared to the leader grunt mobile suit. They usually dark colour but its like and I like its simplistic design, it look quite clear.
