Man the third one is hard as. Since the computer just holds trigger on the target and changes automatically as it moves, whereas I a human have no idea where it will move, and mine seem to have more recoil. Couldnt do it.

I also find it funny people think Duke is misogynistic. Hes an egotist, he looks down on everyone, men included. This generally comes from you know, him saving the world and being treated as a king?

However, yes. Porn is misogynistic. Objectification of someone; completely ignoring their personality or any other aspect of them in favour of their body is misogynistic.
Firstly, you just said calling porn "misogynistic" was incorrect because not all porn is focused around women, and then you used the word as well.
I thought you'd have been intelligent enough to realise what I was saying, namely that porn "aimed at straight men, and therefore exclusively (or at least mainly) featuring the exploitation of women" is misogynistic. Seems a petty gripe.

Rutskarn said:
And at the end of the day, porn is prostitution.
And prostitution is not inherently evil. People have the rights to their bodies. People have the right do whatever they want with their bodies. There is exploitative prostitution; and then, there is prostitution that is not exploitative.
I'd argue that prostitution, the attributing of a monetary value to yourself, your body, is evil. It's selling something that pretty much shouldn't be sold, and no matter what you say, having to constantly quantify your "worth" is eventually going to be psychologically damaging.
And that's assuming the "transaction" is a completely smooth one, I'm sure there's been more than a few rapes on film...

I won't deal with the first issue--it is, as you say, a "petty gripe." But on this point, I must continue to tender disagreement:

What of models, then? That's precisely what they do. Like prostitutes, models combine their natural forms with varying degrees of skill and talent. Unlike prostitution, modeling isn't even a service-based job--centering around human interaction--as there is no contact with the audience.

You may say there's a difference between having sex with someone and posing in front of a camera, but for many, there really isn't. I'd bet you could find someone who'd perform a sex act for money that couldn't stand the idea of modeling.

ITT: Lots of people making a fuss over nothing, complaining for the sake of complaining, too many people with 'White Knight' syndrome.

My point of view? [as a 25 year old male, in a healthy relationship with a female, just incase anyone would like to start to picking away at my real life due to the incoming statement]

Awesome slice of advertising pie right there. It speaks to the game's priority audience [18-50yo males] in the language of the Duke Nukem franchise, guns and attactive women. To be honest its probably a much shorter version of DNF, use guns with accuracy to see half naked women.

Although I'm still getting DNF on day of release, Ball of Steel edition.

Hail to the King, baby.

It's because of the buggy code FF 3.6 has, using IE i was able to aim because there was no lag

but then again , if you're a guy who has PC on like for many days and ... running 5 firefox windows with 10 tabs each ... it gets interesting

...Really?

You have to wonder where they find the girls to do things like this.

I only find the one on the far right to be even the slightest bit attractive.

the one on the far right is a page 3 model, im guessing the rest are the same.
We don't judge you for knowing that, we judge you for reading The Sun.

This is going to get controversy. I'd defend it but... it kind of deserves the controversy to be honest. It's certainly not a great help to our image.

It's immature and frankly still feels sexist. Call it 'satirical' all you want but from the marketting so far all I'm seeing is the game just BEING sexist, not satirizing sexism. They are just presenting blatant sexism and arguing that it's funny, which isn't the same thing as actually satirizing sexism.

...huh.

I wonder if Gearbox are aware that there is a point when a work of satire or parody starts playing itself so straight it becomes what it was trying to make fun of? This isn't really a parody of overly-macho action heroes and objectified women anymore--it is simply a game filled with meatheaded machismo and pointless misogyny. Kind of sad, really.

Every job in the world uses your body in some way or another.
You should perhaps change your argument to saying that attributing a monetary value to sex is evil.
I disagree with that assertion, of course. As George Carlin said, "Selling's legal, fucking's legal, why isn't selling fucking legal?"

Sexism and douchebagery are not funny for their own sake.
And neither are you. It's not sexist.

Promoting a game Duke Nukem style is probably the funnest way to do so.

Truly, that right there is the of arguments. 'Yeah, well... you!' Genius.
Thank you. I wanted to make an argument that was supported, defended, and expressed just as well as the one you made.
