So I'm stuck at home with a terrible cold right now. My synoses are pulsating with pain, and my head feels extremely clouded. So I want to know how the escapiist is dealing wityh this yearly sickness, any remedies for dealing with it, and what exactly is a cold in the first place?
Sorry to hear that mate. I've currently got a terrible cold, a fever and inflammation of the middle ear.

How I'm dealing with it? Got some penicilin from the doctor, 2 scarfs wrapped around my neck, under my wrappers in bed, thick socks on my feet, 50 gallons of hot tea, loads of drops, computer wired to the TV and watching a shit-load of X-files.

Best. Cure. Ever.

Strep throat is what I have right now. Your cold doesn't impress me. I would gladly have all your symptoms if it meant I could breathe without intense pain in my throat.

My mum has dengue fever atm so she cant take anything with asprin in it (you can die if you do) and we live in the Caribbean so in this heat it's really not nice. Just keep yourself hydrated and eat, even if you dont feel hungry. Anything menthol works wonders and eucalyptus has antibacterial qualities.

The only mechanism that can kill all viruses in your. body are whiteblood cells. Whiteblood cells use hydrogen provide to kill the germs. so you either pour yourself a dizzy cocktail up your nose or use photo-oxidation. This can be done naturally using the sun or a supplement like. UVAID.

Umm, depending on where you live you should pop some Dayquil when you're awake and Nyquil when you're going to sleep at night. It's good stuff. Dayquil gives you energy, clears your sinuses and it makes you feel less crappy. On the other hand, Nyquil puts you to sleep and also makes you feel less crappy.

Mucinex or put your head over a sink of hot water with a towel covering your head.

I got strep and didn't know until my throat was literally all white - when I went into the doctor, they had me open my mouth and the doctor literally exclaimed "Oh my god, honey! I'm so sorry!"
I couldn't talk for a few days.

it's the Rhinovirus 90% of the time but there are many different strains (Genus) of the same family (Group) thus you may experience different secondary symptoms

EDIT: oh by the way, the Rhinovirus stays in your system for life but it is an example of how viruses have developed a mutual relationship with organisms. so we can say that the Rhinovirus is a successful virus as it balances out the replication:spreading ratio very nicely
