Hi!
Quite recently I have been trying to ask this really hot girl out... But today... God it is hard to explain in a sentance...
Let me start from the begining!
So, I go to my schools media center in the morning like I usually do, Except today, 90% of the people in their are dressed up for halloween (The renausance club sponcers it... That explains a lot, Doesn't it?) So sense the Left 4 Dead 2 Tournement is right after school, I dress up like Ellis, (Yes, I bought his shirt and hat from the valve store [Unrelated, BUT! The package was actually delayed when I first ordered it! XD]) and I go into the swarming crowd. My friend gives me my copy of left 4 dead 2 back, and I go talk to the guy dressed like Louis (HE HAD PILLS!) So I found out he was the guy that had the idea for the event and set it up and all of that crap. So I donate the game to be used for the tournement (This all fits into the story, Don't worry.) When I exit the office where they kept all of xboxes and T.Vs and shit. when I exit, I see this girl I have never seen in the school before... I'm not sure, but I think I liked her...

So here is where the story gets directly related, So this girl is dressed like Zoey, and is participating in the tournement, and again, She is attractive to me. So I am about to complement her on her outfit, and then Louis tells everyone who is dressed like a survior/Infected to head to one of the art teachers class rooms to get a group picture taken. Damn, It always seems like Time Ninjas me. (One of the art teachers was dressed like a SWAT infected from L4D2) So the picture gets taken, and I get a good look at the clock, 1 minuite till class starts. Fuck! so I run to class, and the rest of the day goes as usuall. My english teacher is still a dick, yada yada yada, more usuless B.S., yada yada yada, AND BOOM TOURNEMENT TIME! so I head back to the media center and see the girl again, and of coarse she notices I am dressed as ellis. So I finally get a really good look at her, oddly, she seems like a girl who I would NOT be attracted to, but I still am. (Yes, she was better than me at the game.) So yeah, I talk to her a bit, and she seems nice, funny, smart, and likes video games (And is avrage looking!) So I was going to talk to her about more LIFE related stuff (Virtuall Zombie Apacalips' do NOT count) and of coarse my dad comes to get me early... (WHY?)

The Verdict:
I like her, but my feelings still seem mixed
I NEVER FIGURED OUT HER NAME!
I can't get my head streight

So faithful men and women of the Escapist, Help me! Just tell me how you have delt with the oposite gender in the past! What one should I go for, the extreamly hot one, or the one I have some weird felling about, which I think is a diffirent form of attraction...

EDIT:
The first girl I have been friends with sense the first grade, she is nice, smart, and funny as well. Just thought I would clear that up.

OT: No help there, because I've never experienced the opposite gender enough, but what you want and what we tell you to do are two different things.

Funny thing is, similar story for me today -- girl dressed as a catgirl, I was going to ask a question about it, but couldn't speak (mainly because it was lunch and the period had ended). Well, I hoped to find another anime lover, but... well I was stupid.

I used to think like this, but I wrote it in a diary. This way, I can burn the pages later knowing that I am the only one that saw it.

Anyways! Get your head together. Then you'll know what to do. Go with the weird feeling one, because that usually means you like her beyond surface level. And you won't feel as awkward around her as around the one that is hot; maybe you don't feel awkward at all, but it sounds like it from your post.

Ask her if she wants to grab a cup of coffee and learn more about her. Use L4D tournament as conversation starter, make sure to change to a related subjects to keep her interest and get more info on her (Example: Zoey likes zombie movies. Bring this up, ask her if she watches zombie movies too. Then ask her what other movies she watches. Then movies that she wished were made/will be made (most likely will talk about books). Then ask about the original material, and so on and so forth).

OT: Anyways about your women problems. Well I'd just try talking too her again. Maybe you could get her Gamertag for the 360 so that you can game together. Try to come off as a nice guy too her, and maybe she might return the attention.

And I wouldn't worry too much over looks. They're great for attracting others, but so long as they aren't ugly and you have something in common (in this case its seems like L4D) then a relationship will be much easier to build.

Dude, you have two options, simple as that.

Ether go find her, I mean she were there, and since it were an tournement so someone must have a name on a list somewhere.

OR you give up, and move on. She were the one that got away.

Hate to break it to you sport, but you can't take a middle road here.

In life there rarely are any Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan moments, where you will cross paths later and it turns out that you are made of eachother, white picket fence, happily ever after and all that.

Its ether work for it, or give up.

And yes, that sound incredibly depressing, but it is not, it really is not depressing. Love in the making or love ancient takes work, and you will work for it, hard, properly harder then for anything you have or ever will in your entire life. That is what love is, to work to be with, or stay with that special someone, to do the leg work to drag yourself through murky waters and roaring fire just to simply be with someone. Its not what they sell you in the movies where it just happens. Yes there are some cases of it happing, but don't kid yourself they are one in a million everyone else has to work for it.

And as bitter and cynical I may sound, I am not bitter or cynical, I am not. I do believe in true love and I do believe love at first sight. I have just crashed and burned and seen others crash and burn as hard and harder then I have. But I have limbed away a bit wiser, and really a bit romantic.

So like I said two choices, find her, or forget her. it really is THAT Simple
