Finally, my prayers have been answered!

Thank you god for delivering unto me this blessed software, so that the filth which besiege me may be washed away, and a new dawn of blissfully ignoring reality through censorship shall... Wait a minute, that's not any better!

Hopefully (and most likely) it's a joke to gather focus to the absurd method religious fundamentalists use to wall in their children (and themselves) from reality.

, the new web filter designed to ensure a healthy, happy online experience for everyone.
First off, this sentence is extremely subject. What about those enjoy the images blocked by this?

OT, I find this extremely hilarious, though most likely a joke.

"Dude your such a GodBlock!"

Uhh, so now religion has its own filter?
Anyway, I've got a better idea, tell your children that whatever religion they choose is the one that's good for them.

It's nice that someone is satirizing those religious anti-gamers. At least I think it's satire. I've always been against censorship.

/facepalm. Look, I'm sorry, but anyone who doesn't recognize this fort the satire it is has a massive deficiency of brain cells.

EDIT: Snap! Totally just insulted a member of the Red Guard. I can hear the heat-seeking missiles approaching my house as I speak.

Regardless, I stand by what I said. This is an obvious jest.

Thank God! Now I don't have to worry about accidentally stumbling upon any religious content while I browse the Escapist. For a minute there I was worried I may become irreversably brainwashed.
Hmmmm, nice contradiction.

At first I thought this was Christianity trying to make the Bible all smiley so to trick children. Not what it is. I am at odds. My hate for religion says yay, but my hiding the bad bits says boo. Kids should be aware that even the Bible says God is a jerk.

This is going to be fun to watch if it ever came into existence. Just imagine the religious zealots throwing rocks at this one. Video-games will be off the hook for a while.

"It is targeted at parents and schools who wish to protect their kids from the often violent, sexual, and psychologically harmful material in many holy texts, and from being indoctrinated into any religion before they are of the age to make such decisions."

By which they mean it is targeted at parents and schools who wish to prevent other religions from getting in the way of their own indoctrination.

HA this is funny, people are taking it too seriously. Its probably just a programmer trying to see if they could make this work.

Seriously, Escapists, I expected a bit more from your sarcasm filters. Let me spell it out for you: THIS. IS. SATIRE. It is a Take That.

Its just a minor adaptation of PeerBlock, by someone who obviously despises religion in all forms. I don't see a major problem with it ... as the tool itself is quite effective. As for it being able to "scan" websites before viewing. Do you remember what dial up felt like? Its a nice idea but only fanatics will be using it. If it works that well.

Yea, just throw the kerosene on the books and light them up, Firemen.

Edit:
For those who think it is a joke. I hope you are right, but I have little faith in humanity and I see the signs of prophets saying that the end of this world is near and the start of the next to follow. So I take everything like this seriously.

Yes, my original post is a reference to Fahrenheit 451.
