This forum is meant to provide a nice, polite conversation between individuals. DementedTeddy was not polite, thus, I can understand why she was banned.
Is the possibility of some 'iconic' individual getting banned so incomprehensible? That being said it is rather depressing that people that are somewhat interesting/entertaining get banned for hurting someone's precious feelings over the internet.

Yes. I stopped posting here for a week or so as I attempted to get my real life in order, and didn't have time for escapist-ing. I came back, and found that one of the more outspoken members had been banned. Not that I knew her well or anything, but it's a little odd to see someone as well known as that suddenly disappear.
Whilst I've seen all the various group messages about it, this is the first thread I've seen, don't worry!
I don't know how banning works - is it on an IP basis (difficult) or an email address basis (easier, makes more sense)? Surely then, if she hasn't developed a grudge against the escapist, she'll be back?
Do we have a replacement advocate of fascism? My political leanings exist as a bizarre juxtaposition of socialism in some areas and fascism in others, with a tiny sprinkling of democracy, so I'm not volunteering.
