Going topless is overrated

It's good. Clothes are often uncomfortable. I wear the loosest possible pants and I prefer my shirt either well fitting or off.

I actually just prefer nudity if it's warm enough.

I use to live less than 100m from the beach and I was pretty much always topless if not nude. Down the beach I would usually wear boardies and no shirt.

Chicks use to get topless a bit on the beach, no one ever complains. It's pretty harmless.

I'm sure some people would have a problem, but it's not like they were running around near the life guarded area that children hang out in.
Just some topless sun bathing about 400m down from the flags.

I gotta say, women who claim that they would go topless all the time if it was acceptable should try simply going topless, no one is likely to complain.

I haven't been to Vancouver, Canada, but isn't it legal for women to be topless anywhere in public?
Lol. Yankee misconceptions. They're only allowed to be topless when they ride their polar bears to work...

Also, plenty of girls I know nude sunbathe in their own yards when it's nice out, provided they have a fence. I think you need to get out of the cities, because people are way more willing to shed their clothes in rural areas.
Canada sounds awesome :D Couldn't do stuff like that in Australia the government would censor it.

Edit: I wonder how long until we have plain packaging for our clothes :/
Move to Cairns man. Australia is fucking awesome.

We don't censor fuck all, it's not illegal to own games that aren't classified, only to sell them. You're free to import them, that's not censorship.

I have to be honest the only things I've heard of being censored in Australia are books discussing child abuse and instructions for making explosives. I'm fine with both of those being censored.

Why do you have a problem with plain packet cigarettes by the way?

I agree, there are just some people that no one wants to see out of any of their clothes. Example: Me.
same here. probably for a similar reason. is it fat, or are you just one of those people?
I'm a fat guy, not gonna lie.
yep. same here. but i found a great way to lose weight: stay up late and eat the following: bacon & toast (lunch) and rice & fish (dinner) every day. thats literally all ive eaten this weekend and i lost a stone. i actually lost my taste for crisps... and staying up late keeps your body using energy.
Try ham rather than bacon for bonus points.

I can't stand to see a man topless, especially if he has nipples the size of golf balls ::Benzaie:: or ANY amount of hair on his chest.

Can I safely assume you have recently had a "OH GOD NO FRENCH CONAN" moment in the recent past?

That's... horrible. I mean, I'm a straight young man but that's just completely disrespectful.
ok so these girls are voluntarily dancing around in their underwear while washing cars...outside...in public...

and for someone else to stare at that is disrespectful??

seriously?

/facepalm

I dont like to go topless, mostly caues i have three scars on my back that I'm rather embarrassed about cause any time people who dont know me always gasp and talk behind my back (theyre.... very noticable). And usually that doesnt bother me, but a about 7 (maybe 8) months ago, a kid said they made me look like a monster and that just kinda got to me.

But men going topless, I dont know. I can see why they would. I always like to wear short sleeves unless I'm swimming. with women, I dont know why they'd say they want to go topless. all the men would just stare or lose interest and either way it just seems an attempt to get attention you dont want.

In Texas it's legal for women to go topless, you're not allowed to expose your genitalia and according to the letter of the law breasts are not considered genitalia. That said most women do wear tops, in public, how ever on the lakes it tends not to be a big deal and a lot of women sun bath and swim topless.

I'm actually quite comfortable going topless in public, it's almost a running joke. Weird considering I have a chest covered in moles and a "nubin", which is trapped cartilage sticking out the center of my chest. My more dickish friends (the ones I have to tolerate at school) are kind enough to call it a third nipple.

Usually overrated.

Until it's like 40 degrees Celcius. On a hot day, I'd love to go topless. And I usually do, if I'm at home for the day.

It's legal for women to go topless in public where I am, but I've never done it because of how over-sexualized boobs are, and how much attention it would attract. It may be legal, but it'll still be a while before it's socially acceptable. I might consider it if I was just at the beach with friends though.

I walk around my house topless when I'm alone, but I definitely wouldn't do it outside even if it was legal in my state. The last thing I want is gross men staring at my breasts. Let's just say that I live in an area that most of the old farts gather just to see the sorority girls dance in their panties at car washes. Like literally go to a coffee shop across the street and just STARE.

I get it...boobs are popular, but christ...

Disrespectful to who, exactly?

OT: I don't, simply because I've only seen guys who are distinctly flabby do it and I always have to stifle a laugh at how much like twats they look.

As for women, I see both sides of the argument. Should the law change and they all take up the chance, I'm not exactly going to complain.

And where I live those creepy old men need only look into certain coffee shops.

I as a guy really never want to take off my shirt partly because I am just so used to wearing it, and partly because I want to deny society a view of my glorious man-boobs. :).

\I bring this up because every single thread I see on this has women saying something to the effect "If it were socially acceptable or legal for me to go topless, I'd totally do it" or "I wish I could take my shirt off."
Actually it's legal for women to be publicly topless in New York (The only place on earth that really matters) since it's legal for men to be as of 93.

I'm a chunky guy, and I still like taking my shirt off. It instantly adds more manliness to any manly action. Sharpening a pencil with a knife? Doing it with my hairy chest on show! Cooking meat? Oh yeah, it's awesome shirtless! Poking a fire with a stick? Doing it while bearing flesh for the world! Sometimes I even like to tuck the t-shirt into the waistband of my shorts, just to emphasise the fact.

I should point out that light injuries do occur from the last two. But it doesn't bother me that I get hot fat on my chest, because I'm frying fucking bacon with my fucking shirt off.

I'm fairly comfortable with my body, so I don't mind taking off my shirt at the beach or pool, or whatever.

I reckon the whole "topless/nudity" deal should be a bit like casual friday. It doesn't happen often, but hey go for it when the time comes, like a "nudie day" or something that happens once every month or something.

As for walking around in public topless - here's the thing. I may in fact not WANT to look at someone's breasts, man or woman. I don't feel its a "right" of someone to say "Hey, I want to go topless, so fuck you and your prudish nature."

Guys wandering around without their shirt on in the street kinda creeps me out. I can't stop staring at their nipples (no homo). Its the same with women, and it just seems like they're drawing attention to themselves.

I don't think men or women have the right to walk around topless in casual public. I think it would be better if the laws were equal on a beach, or at a pool, because hey - less clothing is going to be off anyway.

I was actually thinking about this recently, I have a hairy chest, a sizeable gut and mild moobs. I recently realised the discomfort I feel when I see my fellow males topless on a hot day is resentment and slight envy that my body isn't so grand. It's not lack of confidence - it's being self concious with no negative connotation. Concious of my unattractive fatty tissues around the stomach and chest. It's not a part of my personality, it's mostly below my radar. I'm considering being in the house topless more, just so I'm more aware of my body and therefore more likely to take further steps towards improving it. (Beyond the healthy eating I am currently and for some time now changed to)

Women topless? I'm not a boob man, so if the world turned to toplessness, after the initial shock I wouldn't see it at all sexualised.

As much as I would love to run around naked for all the world to see, I tend to sunburn easily. So there's that.

Wouldn't Ontario Canada be to cold to want to go around topless? The only time I'm shirtless is just out on the shower. Swimming shirtless I would sunburn. I know a few girls who really just hate wearing the bra all the time.
