Good animes with bad endings

Ladies Vs Butlers, School Days, Inuyasha, Gintama (Hiatus but still the ending could have been better), Strawberry 100% (manga), and D.Gray Man. Oh yeah, I FOUND L'S DEATH HILARIOUS, THE ONLY DEATH IN THAT SHOW THAT I FOUND EMOTIONAL WAS WHEN LIGHT'S DAD DIED.

Death Note, It was great up until episode 25. That should of been the end to the series after that i felt it just went downhill

Death Note. After L died it turned to shit resulting in a wildly unimaginative and contrived ending.
I know death note is quite old now but you should at least block the spoilers or find a way to word it so that it does not reveal big plot moments.

Soul Eater's anime had a bad ending.
In what way? I mean I agree that the last battle was kinda lame but the ending itself was kind of good according to me? You think they ended it too fast or all the talking about courage made you think it sucked?
All I can say is read the manga - they dulled down a lot of the end fights and changed the plot and some characters a lot

And my god the courage punch thing was ridiculous

Fuck you, Shaman King. Fuck you haaard.

I am also betting money that both Naruto and Bleach will have horrible endings.
I think anything with over 200 episodes will fizzle out as far as endings go. And about death note.
It was disappointing because Light lost just because migami (I think cant remember name) was an utter retard. Light played perfectly but lost to a toddler because of his ally...
It was Light's mistake to trust someone other than himself, nobody elses, which in a sense makes him the biggest idiot ever, especially when you're a serial killer with what is essentially a magic book, you don't make that kind of error. What made it more ridiculous was that from the beginning they'd built Light up to be a cold and calculated bastard, but at the last minute he starts trusting people? This is blasphemy...

Claymore's ending seemed a bit...poor. All of that just to have the villain (who's head at this point you literally want to see roll along the floor) fuck off somewhere. It really needs a second season.

Thank you. I just need to ask does this site download manga or just show it on screen. I would test it myself but I really need to be somewhere right now and I have no time at all.
No download. You'll have to track down the scanlators for that.

Neon Genesis Evangelion. Don't get me fucking started.

And the ending to Cowboy Bebop was fine, but I don't like how they dealt with Edward. She just kinda... leaves, for no fathomable reason. And the ending to Clannad: After Story was dissapointing, not to mention a massive Deus Ex Machina

"Blah blah blah, the same Moe nonsense from the first season. Holy shit, did they just kill off the female lead? Wow, that's actualy a very emotional and surprising twist. And this is some excellent character development for Tomoya. I'm actualy forming an emotional attachment to him and his daughter. Wait, are they about to kill the kid? That's a bit dark, but fine. Wait... what? What the hell? What's going on? Is... Is Nagisa alive again? How the fuck did that happen? What? Now the series is over? WHAT?!?!"

I found that Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory really lost it's direction once units 1 and 2 where destroyed. It wasn't bad (except in relation to the beginning and middle) but it was one big, confusing mess and the denoument was a series of pictures and shots of white text on black screens

A few pop to mind.

Gantz: Just ended when I had really gotten into it. Shame, but the manga is good.
Air Gear: Ikki is like "I'z the winner" and it just ends. No finsih at all. Manga is good though.
Inuyasha: Just didn't end.
Evangelion: Saw it, saw it again, didn't get it at all however I will forgive them as I hear they did run out of money.

Ultimate Muscle had an odd ending. The show itself was based around professional wrestling, and the final battle, which was rewritten strictly to end the surprisingly popular dub run of the series. The ending in question was an epic, knock-out, drag-out brawl between the protagonist Kid Muscle, and his greatest rival and the show's primary anti-hero, Kevin Mask. It also was easily the most violent fight in the show's run (ironic, being that 4Kids was quite keen on censoring violence).

And while the ending was good, it was still a bit of a disappointment. You see, the manga went on with the story by having Kid Muscle lose the match, and have Kevin Mask become the reigning champion, with Kid Muscle going on a campaign of great matches and re-matches in order to earn another shot at the title. In the anime, Kid Muscle won by using a move that he invented on the spot (inventing brand new moves on the fly is something he has done at least three times in the show's run, and it's a trick that actually worked rather well in this series as opposed to seeming like an author's cop-out as it has in others).

It should be kept in mind that this is also the series where one of the most popular characters in the final season was Monsieur Cheeks, whose face was a backside and who made numerous butt-pun in a french accent. And again, amazingly, it worked. That's pretty much the theme of the show from top to bottom. Awful things that shouldn't be funny, shouldn't be entertaining, but somehow still are.

I don't have anything much to add here.

FMA had to go and send the boys to our boring alchemy-free world. See what happens when you try to play God, you get a bad ending.

NGE had to end more than once. I think the second was more of a "fuck you" to all the fans who didn't like the original ending.

Berserk was great until the ending that made me think someone ran out of time, money, ideas, or any combination of the three.

I wouldnt say I loved the show, but I really lost any sort of interest and had to force myself to continue watching Death note after L died. The heart of the series seemed to be that deadlock between light and L.
True...and some of the episodes afterwards are subpar. The ending however is very good, in my opinion. But yeah...very sad L died.

I watched the movie they made of it too. Even though the movie in itself is not that good, the ending is really awesome.

Definietely School Days. The ending is absolutely crazy, even though rest of the episodes are pretty good and peaceful.
And in the last episode, two of the main characters are brutally killed with saw, and a girl has her womb cut by another girl which wanted to see if she's pregnant. And final scene shows the killer-girl clinging to a severed head of first-killed character, which she fell in love with.
Yes, this is pretty mind blowing.
I actually thought the ending made the anime better. I liked how the anime starts from normal to fucked up beyond imaginable. Kinda reminds me of Higurashi.

OT: Umineko no Naku Koro ni. I mean...
FUCKING CLIFFHANGER!?!?!?!

Of course Naruto will end badly. It hasn't been good for ages.
Are you kidding? That last battle with Pain was amazing. Or are you still stuck on the English dub? While I feel the English dub is better for FMA, the Japanse dub with English sub is better for Naruto, and they are much further along.
