try higurashi no naku koro ni, has a great amount of violence, mystery, psychological head-screwing and i loved it in one of the arc where a girl gets pecked apart by chickens hehe it has a little everything

And you can always read Tsutomu Nihei for more eye-candy (The plot is confusing and weird tho)
Otherwise, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Bleach, Naruto, Soul Eater and FMA are great shonen titles too
Oh and Deadman Wonderland is cool too, especially if you like dystopia. But it's currently stuck at 21 chapters

To those who believe Twilight was a good concept gone horribly wrong due to a combination of terrible writing and overall suckiness, I point towards Vampire Knight. Main differences between Twilight and VK include VK not being boring, actually having a plot, and, well...not being made of suck.
Blade of the Immortal is also awesome. It's like Afro Samurai, except the main character is Japanese by ethnicity and he's followed around by a teenage girl (with knives) instead of an annoying ninja guy. Can't make a suck-to-cool comparison because I loved Afro Samurai, too.
