Wow, someone actually remembered Jumping Flash. That was the first PS1 game I ever played, and I loved it. Anyway, on to the two best games ever made for the PS1:
The Unholy War
Pitball
Unholy war was the greatest combination of strategy and action I had ever played. You had to actually move strategically and fight with skill to win. The combat may have been simplistic in some ways, but the multiple maps and numerous characters kept it interesting for an insanely long time. I still whip out the scratched, battered disc and stick it in my PS3 every once in a while. It's a shame no one knows about this amazingly fun title.
Pitball, though terrible in so many ways, had an addicting quality to it. Even when the controls made you want to savagely beat whoever thought they were a good idea, you still managed to have fun somehow. This game also managed to pass into obscurity with nary a whimper to let anyone know it was there.
