Xtro I, II or III, Galaxy of Terror, Life Force is a classic, I really like Moontrap I know its not a fave.
Yes, this is a truly frightening film, it made me physically sick from watching it. If you want to see something that makes you lose faith in movies then definitely see it.Rationalization said:Battlefield Earth, all the other ones weren't horror movies. Lots of good space movies not a ton of space horror = (. I'll watch this thread to see if I'm wrong.
The Thing isnt really space horror. But it is still a very well done horror movie and a classic none the less.Delicious Anathema said:Alien -> Aliens -> Alien 3

I was surprised. I thought it was going to be cack, but it pulled off a pretty okay film.Wondermint13 said:Pandorum.
I felt a little uncomfortable the whole way through and its full of nasty suprises and action.
All-round ok story with good paid actors.
Precisely what I was going to suggest, actually! Incredible claustrophobic performances all round. Absolutely fantastic work by Danny Boyle.s0p0g said:Sunshine (as you asked for space-sci-fis that not necessarily are horror movies) - one of the best more recent sci-fi movies; i must think hard to remember when there was the last time i've been so sucked into a movie; it's just SO atmospheric.
i think it has the potential to be a modern sci-fi classic, if i dare say so (if the odyssey fanboys give it a chancethe biggest problem today with any medium is, in my opinion, that we have a tendency to judge things based on their age; if sth's young, it can be good, of course it can, but to be GREAT it must be old (if you catch my drift))
of course, as a good movie, it's about what it means to be (a) human. so, why are you still reading this, get the dvd and watch it - NOW!
and of course Alien (like, the first)
It's horror from spaceCrazy_Dude said:The Thing isnt really space horror. But it is still a very well done horror movie and a classic none the less.Delicious Anathema said:Alien -> Aliens -> Alien 3

More from boredom, omfg that movie was boring. I got an idea for a film, but before I pitch it to you it has to include instrumental music, odd colors and some shots of scenery for atleast an hour. Also, pitch black is not horror. Why do people keep recommending it?Trogdor1138 said:2001: A Space Odyssey
I really enjoyed that movie. Didn't want to suggest it because it wasn't really a horror in the same ways that he was suggesting, still a great movie to see if you can.Squilookle said:More of a pyschological mind bender than out and out horror, but watch 'Moon' starring Sam Rockwell. Now THAT is a modern Sci-Fi classic.
