Hasn't this been done already? Too bad it will be several years before it comes to Sweden, even though Google have all their servers here >.<
Think of it as a compliment about your lax net laws.
I'd say it's more of a compliment of our cold climate. But that too of course!

I now wish so dearly that my ancestors never left Kansas, think of all the speed I may have been enjoying now? So long as there are no speed caps I hope this catches on and really revolutionizes American web-access. With companies like AT&T messing things up for everyone I hope Google changes things for consumers.

I'm not sure what I can say to this truely... but this is coming from someone who lives in the south west of the UK and has un-reliable shoddy internet connections and is lucky to see 4mb a sec dl speed for more than 5seconds. (yes that actually is my record ._.)

All I know is: I'm damn jealous - and why can't google do something cool for us Brits?
I demand 1giga-byte a second of tea! Or at least 50mb of crumpets!
Definitely we NEED 30mb of royal snobbery a sec- no wait....

Awwww. Considering how far behind Aus is just with video games, it will take forever for internet that fast here. America always gets all the cool stuff first. *sniff* ;(

Isn't Apple designing a USB that can transfer data at 5 Gigs per second?

Not trying to bring google down or anything, this is frickin awesome to know that one day I'll have super-fast internet, but... Meh, just wanted to point that out.

Thunderbolt? That's just a copper version of Lightpeak which Apple and Intel are developing.
