Last time I tried using Mouse Gestures in Chrome in required a plug-in, and the responsiveness was too low. Do you use mouse gestures for back, forward, new tab, close tab, etc?Snowalker said:I'm confused, if Opera is so much better, why does it seem to fall behind Chrome in simple tests

Can someone explain?
and apparently the one that truly sucks is safari.
I have a great connection and I just built a damn good computer about 3 months ago. My computer can handle it, it's just still a lot more than anything else. Christ, if I have a bunch of tabs open I'll check my task manager and it'll tell me that it's using 200 mb of memoryDVS BSTrD said:Matthew94 said:I'll have you know IE9 is a pretty decent browser, pinned sites are incredibly useful although the lack of an ad blocker almost kills it for me.DVS BSTrD said:Wow THAT's news!
People still use Explorer?
What? You can bookmark pages on Chrome and the New Tab displays most visited websitesI suppose. I have to be careful running more than one tab when I'm at home or else it shuts down.Micalas said:Chrome is such a memory hog though...
Then again my home connection is crap.
I don't personally use mouse gestures, but I can. I didn't realize I downloaded a plug-in if I did. But that seems unbelievably minor, I mean, no one I know use mouse gestures that much, and as personal opinion, I'd rather be able to down load the things I see as necessary than have a huge download thats full of shit I'll never use.isometry said:Last time I tried using Mouse Gestures in Chrome in required a plug-in, and the responsiveness was too low. Opera invented mouse gestures and still does them best last I checked, but maybe Chrome has made a better copy by now. Opera has a lot of default features, so I'm not used to digging through plug-ins.
Erm, .46 percent [insert dickish perhaps you should have used a calculator joke].Greg Tito said:Well, perhaps not exactly firmly. Chrome holds a slim lead with 25.69 percent of internet denizens using Google's slim browser, while Firefox is used by 25.23 percent - a difference of just .43 percent for those of you too lazy to pop open a calculator.
Firefox still wins for me because of the plug-ins. It may be bordering on bloat but Firefox has a functionality (for me) that Chrome doesn't have (yet).Byere said:Yea... wanna know why? Because it's so much BETTER than Firefox. Unless you try to install Skype plugins, then it becomes a big pile of pants...
Nonetheless, I'm partially surprised that IE is still top (what with it being so crap) but only partially because most businesses won't allow "fun" browsers on work computers because it might distract employees...
I'm not sure what to say, since browsing with mouse gestures is as fundamental to me as having a mouse wheel or having tabs in my browser. It would be like someone from 2001 saying "mouse wheel and tabs sound unbelievable minor, I mean, no one I know use them that much." In his own way he would be right, these are minor improvements to the browsing experience and most people are very crude in the way they use computers.Snowalker said:I don't personally use mouse gestures, but I can.
