Alright, this one is a PC exclusive thread.

I'm very interested in knowing what scores in various benchmark programs you can get with different graphics cards. If you're interested as well and like to compare your results with mine and other people, feel free to post your results here.

I'm looking for benchmark scores with and without an overclocked graphics card, so post your benchmark score with stock clocks, then overclock it and redo the benchmark. Please use the settings that you know is stable for your system. i.e I can overclock my 260 to about 750 mhz core and 1300 mhz memory and run the benchmark, but it's not a stable setup and it would lead to system crashes and artifacts. So try to be honest and post your results using your most stable settings.

I realize that for a fair comparison, you need to have the same basic setup, i.e same mainboard, memory, SLI, etc. However, since that's not really an option here, I'm gonna go ahead and ask for your benchmark scores anyway.

Here are the programs I've been using as benchmark tools:

3Dmark Vantage - Performance mode, leave all settings on default, only perform graphic test 1 and 2. Optionaly you can run the six feature tests and post your results as well. I believe there is a trial version you can use if you don't want to buy this software. It can be obtained from here: http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks/3dmarkvantage/download/

Crysis benchmark (GPU) - turn all settings to high with maximum motion blur, AA turned off and resolution set to 1920 x 1080. Use lower resolution settings if your monitor can't run the game at the mentioned ratio. The benchmark performs 4 different runs, post your best results. If you own this game, you can find the benchmarks in : Your installation folder -> Bin32 -> Benchmark_GPU.bat

H.A.W.X 2 benchmark - Turn all settings to maximum including AA and turn off vertical sync. Don't forget to set resolution to 1920 x 1080. This benchmark is 100% free and can be obtained from here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/Tom-Clancy%E2%80%99s-H.A.W.X.-2-Benchmark-download-2633.html

MSI Kombuster - Leave all settings on default, Run mode to Benchmarking, resolution to 1920 x 1080, and with fullscreen turned on. This is a free benchmarking program that comes bundled with MSI Afterburner which can be obtained from here: http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

I will post more benchmarking programs if it is recommended to me by more than enough people.

It would also be nice to post your current system configuration and your GPU clocks and voltage before and after the overclock. Please try to do this in the format I'm about to demonstrate.

Also remember that this isn't a dick waving competition. Be respectful to others and don't start a flame war.

I can't imagine that being very cost effective.
You shouldn't need that much power for your rig.

On topic: I'm not running any benchmarks until I've built my new PC, but you do know that there are a ton of benchmarks for the GTX260 out there, right? You could always compare them to those benchmarks if your thread doesn't get off the ground.

I really couldn't be bothered to go through all that. But if I tell you I can wind my card (GTX 460) up to 880MHz core, 2160 memory, 1770 shader, I'm sure you could take a rough guess at my scores!

It's not just about 260s, I want to see scores for different systems.

And you don't have to do all of them. Just pick any you like and do it. You don't even have to overclock it. Stock speeds are fine.

Hmm that kinda corrputs the comparison chart. Can you run @ 1920 x 1080?

I believe your clocks are: Core(GPU): 700 Mhz - Memory : 1848 Mhz (974 x 2) - Shader : 1401 Mhz.

Notice that I put 974 x 2 for your memory click. That is duo to the GDDR5 memory. So the actual frequency for your memory is 974 Mhz.

Anyways, can you try and overclock your card?

Sure.. But are you using Dx11/10/9?

Hmmm, that is quite weird. I can't think of a reason right now. Maybe your graphic card throttles when it needs more power and it just didn't need extra juice running kombuster. Your card also has less memory interface width (384-bit vs 448-bit), which might be the cause.

I envy your 295. I've tried to buy it but to no avail. Just can't find a new one in Canada. Good card.

Not really. The reason why you can't find it is probably because they're slowing production on it due to some tech issues that came up with the card.

That's what happened to me at least. My supplier did upgrade my card to a GTX 480 though, so all is AWESOME!

Well thankyou. They are quite hard too find now. They've stopped manufacturing them in favour of the 400 series sadly.

I can't run the Direct3D 11 since my VGA does not support DirectX 11.

I have to leave for a few hours. I'll be back soon and continue the discussion. Keep the scores coming people.

Ok, well with DX10&11 I get higher results then with DX9

SCORE: 20114 points - Time: 60000 ms
FPS: min=235 max=358 avg=335
GPU:700MHz - Memory:1848MHz - Shader:1401MHz (Had old version of afterburner so it fucked up those)

FPS: min=286 max=356 avg=335
(Dx10, OC)
SCORE: 22270 points - Time: 60000 ms
FPS: min=295 max=396 avg=371
GPU:825MHz - Memory:2000MHz - Shader:1650MHz

SCORE: 22133 points - Time: 60000 ms
FPS: min=314 max=394 avg=369
GPU:825MHz - Memory:2000MHz - Shader:1650MHz
could OC a bit more but I rather not use 100% fan speed (used 68% and got 75'c)

I guess that does make sense. My card was designed in a DX9/10 Era while yours was in DX10/11. Interesting results.

They have stopped production of that card actually. I've never heared any horror stories about a bad 295. It's performance is on par with the latest nVidia can offer.
