Great but extremely unknown/underrated games.

Age of Mythology. It was an extremely fun and deep RTS, that was pretty much ignored by everyone. Now with the death of Ensemble we're never going to get a sequel, which makes me cry on the inside.

Nobody. And I repeat, NOBODY, Has ever heard of The Another Code series (Trace memory if you're a yankee). Precious few have heard of it, me being one of them.

Those games are brilliant, mixing some great storytelling with some really clever puzzles. It's got the best story in a game in fact. Those two games are the defintely some of the best reading experiences ive had. And the ending to the first game always has me choking up. It's so sad, yet so happy.

I played Age of Mythology, and it's sequel: Age of Mythology: Titans(It involved titans in the title somewhere)

Psychonauts!!!!!!!!! Check this game out. It is funny and fun, and defiantly worth your time and money. I know it is available on PC (Through steam now i think) and PS2, possibly Xbox.
I think enough people know about this game and its sold enough copies by now for it to stop being mentioned as underrated.

Right then I'll start with all the Saturn games I used to play.
Burning Rangers - Such a impressive game, even though the hardware almost couldn't handle it.
Panzer Dragoon Series - There are four games in this one (Four goddammit), three on the Saturn and one on the original Xbox. The critics sung their praises and yet no one bloody well bought them. The first two were beautifully done rail-shooters with some of the most interesting and unique art direction I've seen in a game. The third one (last on the saturn) is the almost impossible to get hold of Saga (Azel if you're not european). This was a four disc RPG that was released the same year as FF7, with better graphics, better storyline and this is a biggy THE SAME BATTLE SYSTEM AS FF13 you know the NEW one. They then made Orta which harks back to it's roots as a rail-shooter, with stunning graphics, absolutly fluid gameplay and still a pretty decent story and the entire first game for free on there as well.
Enough about that lets move on, oh wait the same people then went on to make Phantom Dust which is the next one. Never got to play the full game, but the bits I did play were amazing.
I'll be back with more when I can remember them.

Astro Boy (GBA) Dear God is that game fun. One of the most difficult but rewarding games for the Gameboy Advance.

Oddworld : Strangers Wrath (Xbox) - That game is good ol fun. Good luck beating the last level without cheating. Really, good fucking luck.

Another caveat. If it appeared in a Zero Punctuation Episode [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/34-Condemned-2-Bloodshot], chances are a fair few people know about it.

What this bloke said. Except the bits about Myth I & II.

I might also add Area 51, though it is a very generic shooter.
Except you can shoot flying jellyfish from your hands.
I...

What are the games that you love, but would be completely unknown to anyone else? The games that you are sure no one else have heard of, but are just fantastic. The games that made me think of this topic are:

Metal Arms: Glitch In The System (Xbox) Extremely enjoyable gameplay and cutscenes, maybe be more wellknown then what I know..
Mark of Kri (Ps2) Amazing stealth, terrible graphics
Team Buddies (Ps1) ... Wiki this one.. serious fun
Dark Watch (Ps2) Spooky, but enjoyable

What are yours?
I would say Psychonauts, System Shock 2 (everyone seems to have played BioShock instead saying that it's very original and has an excellent story which no other game has done when actually SS2 did it 8 years ago and a lot much better), Stronghold, Syberia, Beyond Good and Evil (probably the game which I've had more fun with in a whole lot of time!), I think American McGee's Alice and Dark Sector.

Silent Storm. Didn't get enough advertising in the US, so it didn't fair too well. I found it in an EB games about seven years ago and I've literally been playing it ever since. Turn based tactical shooter with RPG elements, takes place during an alternate World War 2 where a terrorist organization called Thor's Hammer is playing the Axis and the Allies against one another so by the time the war ends they can defeat both of them and become the next world power. Awesome game, and I recommend it to everyone as a must play.

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. I became addicted to this game....and I still love it..
Oh wow, I had completely forgotten about that game. It was one of my first, and I loved it!

Anyway, Homeworld 2, it's not that unknown, but relatively unplayed due to its horrendous difficulty. Still, it's one of (if not the) best space RTS games ever made

Swarm (win - space shooter)
Gorky 17 (win - rpg, lot of boss fights but pretty easy)
Chasm the rift (win - fps)
Mort the chicken (psx - platformer)
Tiny Tank (psx - tps)
Dr Brain 3 - Lost minds of Dr Brain (win - logic minigames collection)
Geekwad games of the galaxy (dos - strange remakes of classic games)
Eradicator (dos - fps/tps)
Superhero league of hoboken (dos - rpg/adventure)

X-COM Enforcer (win - tps - well i think it was great, but of course X-COM fans will probably tell you otherwise )

Also a lot of great old games seem to be forgotten nowadays (e.g. Dungeon Keeper, MDK etc.) or is it just me?

Vexx for PS2/Xbox/Gamecube.
Really? I bought that game and hated it. What did you like about it?
I find the environments really creative, the music is quite good, the story is... pretty .... average, and everyone is always really mad for some reason. But I just found it a great platform game. It is also rather challenging, sometimes even frustrating, but always fun! I don't know, I just find it alot of fun.
