These are very minor nitpicks to a game I'm loving more then my ability to overstate things!

1) Why does my Argonian exhale like he is out of breath, when he comes out of the water?
I can breath there!

2) I can't seem to find a single vendor in Whiterun that has the funds to buy all my crap.
I usually unload my findings on the blacksmith and general store guy, buy they run out of money before I run out of stuff, and by the time they got some cash again, I already got MORE stuff to pawn. Maybe I need to raise my speech skill...

3)My friend gets a lot more "finishing moves" scenes as I do.
Granted, I play a mage, but a lot of the time I'm slashing with my bound blades, and I know they do a finishing move once in a while, it's still far less.
Or is there some trick to it that I miss?

P-p-p-poker face. /LadyGaga

Poker faces on EVERYONE ALL THE TIME. It is very immersion-breaking that no one has ANY facial animations, save for their lip syncing, whatsoever. And that saddens me. Especially when I met Sheogorath. His facial expression does not in any possible way match his demeanor, and that really killed it for me.

I also don't care much for the new third person mode: it works smoother, yes, but again theres no way to zoom in and out on my character and I can't rotate the screen with my weapon out.
What about you guys?
You can, hold the right stick and use the left stick to zoom and rotate. Can't do it while moving though. (Dunno about PC)

Anyways, I don't like how I had a full suit of Daedric, Ebony and Dragon armor, including a ton of weapons from each, and every item upgraded to Legendary and they all vanished when I tossed them into a barrel in my house bedroom. I guess I don't like it how stuff respawns in your house, in your bedroom even.

follower AI. shit is just dumb, the amount of times i have been caught on them in a passageway....that being said, now i must play it.
I had problems with an AI as well, though at first it was no real deal breaker until I got to the Winterhold College.

I got in there and was in the middle of the tour, until a dragon stopped by, after I killed it though, the lady giving me the tour won't even continue on with it, she went on to what I guess is her daily thing yet talks like we're still in the middle of the tour.

Clearly I'll have to do the College main quest in another playthrough, unless someone here knows how I can fix it.

And yes, I'm playing Skyrim on 360, so I can't use console commands.

the only other problem, I think, is that the game for some weird reason feezed on me afew occasions depemnding on what I've done, like closing a trap door, or swinging my sword at a training dummy, but those were few and far between, so I'm not at allholding it against the game.

I've had it crash to desktop without warning about once every two or three hours. And as a stealth build, the followers suck. They always get detected then draw attention to me. Since I have sneak 100, I can just creep up behind people and backstab them while their friend stands right next to them. With followers, they all aggro on me, and I'm left almost helpless.

i think the one ring slot was to help with some semblance of balance
( as if such a thing existed )

it could be because the rings are generally magical in nature, if you're counting you could have 20 rings, 4 bangles and as many necklaces as mr.T
however that would have some pretty serious implications with weight and over-powered-ness and possibly magical crossover or conflicts from a lore perspective
( if alchemy is anything to go by )

also, Bethesda would have to code in 50 neck slots and that would be somewhat tedious
i guess

The biggest thing that comes to mind is that you don't get markers for miscellaneous tasks, or that at the very least you can't choose which task the map centers on when choosing "show on map"
Kind of annoys me how after I finally get around to clearing out a cave of bandits I was told about two hours ago I can't remember where to find who I can collect my bounty from and the journal screen offers no help. I swear I've got about 4k gold worth of bounties waiting for me if only I could remember who the hell are these people I accepted them from.

Dragon Priests. Dear god,DRAGON PRIESTS. Named ones only, though.

Vokun,Morkai, and Krosis were the only ones I fought so far,and they were INSANE! Their staves advertized far less damage than what was being belted out to me with them, and their natural spells were WORSE! And then there's the fact that Krosis and Morkai are partial to summoning tanky Frost Atronachs, while Vokun upped the ante with Storm Atronachs (I was a shock spec destroyer/conjurer). Finally,Krosis and Vokun liked to brainwash my summons.

The kicker? I fought them at level 20-28. I still died at least three times per.

I was at HALF THE FLIPPIN' LEVEL CAP,AND THEY STILL KILLED ME WITH 2 STAFF SHOTS,OR ONE NATURAL SPELL! I realize that they're supposed to be nasty powerful...But that's ridiculous. One slip...And YER DEAD! Resistances be DAMNED!

EDIT

Go to the journal menu, click "Miscelaneous",and select the ones you want to track.

Having to sit thru the same interminable starting sequence for each charecter that I make. Once is fine, thanks.
When you first create your character, the game autosaves right before character naming. Load up the right autosave, you'll skip most of the intro sequence. It won't be listed as an autosave, but it'll be titled 001 or something like that. It will say Nord, Prisoner, Level 1 on it. Obviously, there's still a bit of intro sequence to go through after that, but it's much shorter.

i have a few of the dragon-priest masks, they make exceptional head pieces
one has 30% magic resistance and 150 armour on it
another has speech-craft and alchemy on it however one had a staff of lightning wall that puts a dot on the floor for 50 damage, and it stacks.. and the staff has about 90 charges so you can walk around zapping an entire hallway and lead something to it's doom..

as is usual with my char, i just sword and boarded them to death in short order.. i really need to re-roll, or destroy my sword and get a vendor one

side note, anyone got the latest steam update for skyrim? is it stable? people have been saying otherwise..

As soon as you get off the cart, before Hedvar calls you up, save the game, then you can return to it anytime.

Check save number one on your list. It should at the character creation part. The game automatically makes a "permanent" save just before that part. You just have to listen to roll call, not the whole trip.

The fact that every NPC acts like a weird robot. I could be talking to anybody and people will walk by shouting stuff at my face like I RUN THE LOCAL GROCERY STORE or MY MOM SELLS APPLES, just because they're programmed to do that when you're close. Happens too when you're just walking around, you don't even have to look at them or something and they'll react with stuff that just doesn't make any sense like STOP LOOKING AT ME LEAVE ME ALONE. That, and they're animated like they have a broom shoved up their asses. Literally. They always haunch backwards when talking to you for some reason. Whatever, it just looks super weird. Also when they climb stairs they glitch and bob up and down. Also, it's really sad when an effective tactic is hoping a melee enemy gets stuck behind a rock or something.

Also the complete disregard for your status. Guards are programmed to react to world events, which is cool, but for some reason they'll never treat you any differently. Worst was when I was promoted to Legate of the Imperial Legion, and every soldier still reacted the exact same to me. Hell, another officer still gave me orders and addressed me as 'soldier'.

Also, I'm missing some conversation options. Example: I work for the Dark Brotherhood. At one point someone told me 'mess with me and I'll send the Dark Brotherhood after you'. Were this a Bioware game, you could've told that person you were actually in the Brotherhood which would've probably led to a funny reaction. In Skyrim: nothing. The game does not take stuff into account that you've already done. I know, I know, probably because it's way too huge for that, but I still don't like it.

I know they're nitpicks, but dear God I got so sick and tired of being unable to bond with ANY character in Skyrim, because they just don't feel like people. The world is awesome, the gameplay is fine, the music is amazing, but the NPCs just constantly remind me that I am in a game, which is the last thing I want. I actually started over with a new (evil) character, just to kill everyone in the entire world as my final vengeance for ruining my experience. But then I found another grievance; BARELY ANYONE CAN BE KILLED. Seriously, I can understand why they did this, but it's SO boring. If I walk into Ulfric's castle and shoot him in the face with an arrow, I expect him to die and the game to react to that, not just cop out and make him stumble a bit.

Well, there's only two things that annoy me about it. My warrior isn't skilled in any kind of ranged attack, so trying to fight dragons with him is pretty much impossible without NPCs around until I get him Dragonrend. And the other thing, when my mage wears the Archmage's robes and a Dragon Priest mask together (which is the best combination for him at the moment), the game has a nasty habit of making his head disappear every few minutes, lasting until I save and re-load. It was funny the first time, now it's annoying.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some daedric artifacts to find!

Quests bugging out on me.

I do some exploring on my own. Find some Quest item in the dungeon (didn't have quest relating to that item yet). Talk to NPC receiving that very quest. Have Journal update towards the last objective (returning the item). Give to them, SOMETIMES get my reward. Stuck with Journal update (quest never completed?) and the very same Quest item forever in my inventory. This thing adds up, i have like 30lbs of Quest items (on PC, CC help?). Radiant Fail.

I want to be a pure squishy humie again, but the Companions only keep giving me Radiant Quests, i got the Escaped Criminal Quest (ignored it because of selling/organizing). Now cant find the Criminal anymore (no quest marker anymore, still got quest). ****.

Followers always getting in your way. And being super aggressive when im trying to soften some enemies with my bow.

Finally having to spec in Merching (heavy investment too =p). Im used to FO/NV idea, and this came at me quite hard since this is my first TES game. Also the weight capacity mixed with the menu system don't help my cause at all. Any tips on making the tedious process of organizing and selling loot would be helpful. (Money is not the issue here).

Other than that the game is pretty great. Though i would like to know more about the Imperial/Stormcloak conflict, but it seems i have to blindly choose a side to learn significantly more. (can i get a run-down on them)

The quests are very dull to me. It's a pretty serious grievance actually; one that's killed my interest in playing for the time being. Maybe I should start the main quest; I dunno, but all these Guild questlines are very disappointing.

Stormcloaks; everyone picks them for the pure and simple reason the other side tries to kill you in the intro. Bethesda, being Bethesda, then makes it gradually clear the Stormcloaks are by far the worse of the two evils. They're racist, disorganized assholes with an absolute wimp as a leader.

Imperials; the people who pick them find out they're just an army of men doing their job, and what they do might not be the best moral decision (freedom and all that), but it's absolutely, objectively best for the whole province. They're professionals who do genuinely care for Skyrim.

At least that's how I experience it.
