Some people are perfectly fine living in their little 'Ground Hog Day' world. People such as ourselves may need to step back from things and do something else for a change.
Far be it from me to say and largely petty and tangential; but is there a particular reason you're looking down on people who're satisfied with living like that?
Not looking down on anyone. Far from it. Lets just say it's a realisation I've recently discovered. If they're fine living the same old day then good for them! I wish I could say the same.

Yeah, I definitely feel this way too. I wouldn't say I'm moving away from gaming but rather, my tastes are becoming more and more specific. Back in college, I'd play any adventure, action or FPS game out there. Even if it wasn't a really good game in the end, at least it was a diversion from the crazy amount of studying I had to do.

Nowadays, if a game doesn't catch my interest early on, it's hard for me to ever come around to it. Even if it's critically acclaimed across the board and it's a genre I should like, I won't even consider it. It's a shame really but that's where I am.
