GTASA or TBoGT?

ive played every GTA except TBoGT and TLaD but i would have to say that San Andreas is very good one to get

however i didnt like CJ but what can you do

I personally liked none of GTA4's realism.

SA is the way to go.

Get San Andreas it's longer content that just the Expansion/Side Story but like it's been said if you like the look of the new Liberty City alot and lesser graphics bug you get Ballad then.

By not much realism you mean the fact tha CJ can scarf down 9+ pizzas and not get a heart attack, all cars have the potential to go really fast, cops were EXTREAMLY stupid, and that a gun store sells all the things that a terrorist would ever want under one roof?

If you like a massive crazy world with zero tolerence for good behavior and you like a good dose of silliness, get GTA: San Adreas. If you like realism with a bit of silliness, get GTA: TBoGT.

I just beat GTA4 and I'm still craving some GTA action XD. Ive got $20 to spend, so I wanted to know weather I should get Grand Theft Auto San Andreas or The Ballad of Gay Tony. Ive never played either of them, all opinions are welcomed! .

SA was the best imo.

San Andreas all the way, it's the only GTA game after 1 and 2 that i've completely played through more than once. i absolutely love that game, and i'd easily put it in my top 10 games of all time. i liked GTA4 and its expansions, but honestly, none of them can hold a candle to san andreas.

yeah, it's graphics suck, but i think it's the combination of the violence, fun, and shear hilarity of some of the dialogue and missions that pull it together. Though i will say that vice city's radio stations, advertisements, and commercials were definitely more comical, probably the most hilarious in the series in that area. also, san andreas has the best cheats of any GTA game, if you're into that.

San Andreas is the best GTA in the series, hands down. Moreso if you like rap since they have old school gems on the radio stations. Plus, Hydra dogfights above area 51 = WIN!

Haven't played Gay Tony, but San Andreas is so much better than GTAIV. The only slight complaint I have with San Andreas is that trying to fly the remote control helicopters and planes with a keyboard and mouse is one of the most irritating things in the universe!
