You have to murder everyone in your local HQ just to find one spy. Made me angry too to find the spy wasn't there.
Its been a few years since oblivion, and I'd forgotten about that!

yeah I felt really bad aswell, since the dark brotherhood was the only guild were I actually liked my guild mates. The other guilds were just full of generic faceless nobodys, but each person in that safehouse had their own personality and quirks etc. Probably one of the best bits in the game.
Forgot to mention another part of the DB.
seeing Lucien skinned and upside down and finding out that I was doing the quests that got him killed. Angry, sad and guilty.. all withing 5 minutes.
More DB spoilers guys...

Lucien was the best character in that game without a shadow of a doubt. And I felt the exact same way seeing his dead body skinned up like that. I wanted to flip out and murder the lot of them right there and then. How dare they execute my mentor like that!

For me what comes to mind first is DA:O. Especially awakening as...interesting as it was.
Erm Don't know how to do the spoiler thing so...

ITS A SPOILER SO DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SPOILED ASSHOLE

Yeah, so in dragon age awakening when I had to choose whether to save the city or my fortress I was like fuck the city and went back and saved my companions. So yeah, I pretty much let the whole city of people burn to save my beautiful castle and my pet dwarves.

The end of Shadow of the Colossus
Not just the end. Some of them Colossi were just peaceful magnificent creatures and I felt kinda bad killing them. And all for that girl I didn't no nothing about. Girls are dime a dozen, but there were only 16 Colossi...

Fallout 3 the quest was Agatha's song. I'll spoiler it even though it's not that important.
So I found the violin that Agatha wanted, but I found it looking for a bobble head so I didn't know what it was. The guy at the museum said he'd pay 200 caps. Then I found Agatha's house and talked to her. I told her I sold it and she called me a bastard or some other mean name and I blew her head off. Felt bad about it later.

Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion:.
Yes, this was definitely the most guilt I've felt playing any game. The Dark Brotherhood was the only guild I had really been attached to....and so attached to everyone. Having to kill Ocheeva then later seeing Lucien dead...Crushing. And all for nothing.

On the Lucien bit, the entire idea was that everything was in your hands. You had to race to get to him, but you got there too late....and failed him, costing him his life. I pretty much hung around the room shocked for a few minutes after that. And the fact that after you were Listener, pretty much no one even has a name, much less a personality. Blah, why did the best questline have to end so badly!

Wierdly in games like Prototype and Saint's Row 2 where the entire objective seems to basically be to shoot or maim as many people as you want I always feel little pangs of guilt because they always scream in terror at the last moment.

Mines a Red Dead Redemption one as well, but not the bit you did!

I didn't Kill his family, I didn't even think that that was an option, I just saw them as a means to find my target. What did make me feel guilty was the bit where you have to burn down the poor peasants houses in Mexico. I even loaded my game up and tried the mission again to see if there was a different way I could do the mission!

Also on Mass Effect 1 + 2 on my second playthroughs on both of them where I played as an evil character, no moments pretty much just all the way through. Shepard can be a real asshole if you want him/her to be.

The only time I remember feeling guilty is in Mass Effect 2 when...

During the final mission when you have to choose an adept to protect the group. I chose Miranda (who, by the way, wasn't even loyal to me) to be the adept because I hated her and thought she would die... Only to reach the end and watch Samara, one of my favorite characters, carried away by the collectors and undoubtedly killed due to my own selfishness... I felt like the worst leader ever.

Other than that, I'm sure I felt guilty a few times while playing Fallout 3, but apparently not enough to remember it.

In a game like Prototype or GTA IV, I have no problem mowing down a street of people. I won't even think twice about it.
However, given the opportunity to do a good action or evil action, I will always choose the good action, and I will always complete the good storyline.
Fallout 3 hit me expecially hard with that. I beat the game the first time with good karma, then decided to play my second time as evil. Well, I got as far as killing the overseer, and when Amata got mad at me, I just freaked out, and started a new file. I'm playing on good karma again.
It's actually sort of annoying, sometimes, because being a good guy can only stay fresh for so long if you know that you have ANOTHER option.

Flavor 1: When you use corrosive weaponry on the Crimson Lance in Borderlands, their screams haunt me.
I had this happen with a lightning shotgun. No matter what I did, I one-shot-killed every Crimson Lance and their heads exploded. At first I felt slightly bad, but by the end, I was enjoying it.

I really tend to get into so I feel a lot of guilt. When I was replaying inFamous for the third time, I was going to be evil again but then when the first Karma Moment came up I gave in and became good. I just can't help feeling guilty.

In Deus Ex whenever I accidentally kill someone when it wasn't necessary. I usually have to load back to my last save and redo that section.

Ah yes, so true. My biggest guilt trip was after the Sky Serpent colossus. It's my favorite colossus to fight, but I always feel so bad afterwards. I mean, it wasn't even attacking you! D:
