Haruhi is brilliant!
What/why guilt?

I have no guilt, it is such a weird idea to like something and feel the need to claim the opposite. I am not trying to please strangers with my taste.

I've just had news in from the lab and...

Well...

I'm sorry, you've been doomed to a life infected with chronic nanodesu disorder, there's nothing we can do for you other than advise you take daily dosages of In Flames and Sabaton.
"In Flames and Sabaton, sounds expensive..." :/
Only for those around you, and only if you tend to ignore the lower volume settings.
"Well only the right side of my headphones work, broke the other day." :/
"So volume is not an issue, I'l look it up."

Music: I like a lot of songs from musicals. Probably from playing in the band for many different productions.
Books: I like reading novels way below my age level that are aimed at children. Eg: Percy Jackson and Artemis Fowl.
TV: Various Animes and Cartoons.
Games: I really enjoyed the Megaman Battle Network series and I have heard a lot of hate from fans of the originals. Harvest Moon was a lot of fun.
Internet: I spend too much time on DeviantArt, and a lot of what I've seen can never be mentioned to another human. I still visit Funnyjunk.
Misc: I still have all my Yu-Gi-Oh cards and I still sometimes duel with them.

Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly down, I like to watch Caramelldansen... V_V *blushes and hangs head in shame*
Here it is, if you dare...
I just can't watch the video without falling off my chair laughing... ^^

Other than that, I don't think I have any guilty pleasures.
you just blew my mind with awesome...thank you.

Me, I generally don't feel guilty about the things I like. I think the stuff I like is awesome...thus I only like awesome things!

LOGIC!!

One word: anime.

It's the sort of secret that nobody who I know irl knows - I find it incredibly embarrassing, but I also think that some of the stuff out there is (in a lot of ways) better than/equal to all other media - I mean, I love A Song Of Ice And Fire, but I like Claymore more...

And I think that's what is so mortifying about it, that I can get really into a series and actually care about the characters, while nobody else I know even understands that anime is more than just pokemon and naruto.

Not that I'm going to sacrifice my social dignity to enlighten them any time soon - hell no.
This exactly. I feel your pain i love it as a hobby but I'm not suicidal enough to tell anyone irl about it. I think it'll be accepted socially eventually I mean look at gaming and graphic novels they are accepted widely now.

Music:Nickelback
Books:Reading at all is looked down upon where I live even if the books I read aren't exactly embarrassing.
TV:Colbert Report and The Daily Show. Again, not embarrassing themselves but embarrassing to the community. Also, Bleach.
Games:Viva Pinata. I played it as a joke with my friend now I can't stop.
Misc:I love wearing purple.

To an extent, gaming is, but even now it's still regarded as a thoroughly 'nerdy' activity, and that's with the ridiculous amount of people who do it accelerating its drive into the public limelight - with the media fighting it at every turn, of course.

I think it will be a lot longer (if ever) before anime reaches this same state, and even then, that state is hardly ideal.

I like Glee (not that bad, the acting is good, some of the music is tolerable) and listen to a few of My Chemical Romance's songs.

Same, teenagers and black parade are good songs.

For the most part i don't care about the media on gaming give it another 10 years media is gonna be controlled by people who grew up with games by than. I mean I'm 17 and literally everyone i know has a gaming console. That says something about gaming finally being accepted. Granted its mostly Call of Duty, Madden, Halo and etc... that are the most popular but its still people playing games right.
