this should be higher i think, it really started the whole Pokemon crap we live in today.

* Tekken 2 (#24)
2 was good, 3 was revolutionary

gears of war with the very innovative cover system not on their either....

There was nothing innovative behind it. It took Kill.Switch and put a more manly, steriod indused, and bro infested spin on it. The only things they were missing were a football jersey, a fake greek symbol that means nothing and a keg stand.

Who actually played GH1? I could be wrong but everyone I know hasn't actually played it and didn't join in until GH2 or even GH3.

Well let me tell you that final fantasy 12 wouldn't be higher than a link to the past, and Tomb Raider wouldn't be above the original Metal Gear Solid. Starfox 64 would be much higher. I'm not gonna list it all right here, since that's (again) just personal opinion. If you really like, I will, but I hate having a "#1 game of all time"



But the whole idea is a bad idea, what is it a top 50 of? "best" console games?

How is Killer 7 not there? How is BG&E not there?

Shenmue? Etc, etc.

That's a pretty good list, some classics some news, all fairly well thought out.

Either way, with GT, Crash and Starfox in their I'm happy.

Where is spyro, that was an awesome game and I started playing with GH3.

Agreed, Killer 7 was very twisted and Shenmue is a game I still today wait for a Sequel. It had a Awesome final 70 man battle and its the Reason why every game suddenly has QTE's. Also Shenmue 2 had Awesome Boss Battles. That game always got me hyped.

Why wouldn't it be? It's simple to play, hard to stop and it's been around damn near forever.

Thought it was an arcade game though, not a console game (feel free to correct me) but doesn't really matter i suppose.

Pacman and Gear yes but Spyro? Really?
I don't know what Crash Bandicoot is even on the List, He's more of a Space Holder for a better game.

Well I gues I agree with the big picture here but really people Mario Kart on number 1, if you tell me it's a good game I agree with you but saying it's the best game ever.....
