True, DOOM is available for SNES, XBLA and a number of other consoles. Still, since the original version was a PC game I assume they didn't count it for their list. At least I really hope so!!

If he's talking about the original, top-down GTA 1&2 then he's right. The frame rate was awful and the graphics rubbish compared to the PC version.

I can't remember the console versions being bad but I haven't played those in a while.

It wasn't unplayable, just vastly inferior to the PC version at the time. If you played the PC version first you wouldn't dream of playing the PS1 version instead.

That can't be the case, #2 Tetris and #3 Grand Thief Auto were PC Games first. Doom is a big influence on all fps and needed a spot.

I don't know what Crash Bandicoot is even on the List, He's more of a Space Holder for a better game.

They shouldn't really have included Crash Bandicoot in the first place but seeing as they did it's unforgivable to not include Spyro too. I am talking about the original Spyro trilogy, by the way. If you're thinking of the more recent Spyro games then I understand where you're coming from.

It just Seems like all these games have lost there touch over the years.
Crash isn't a original game anymore. I remember playing it and thinking oh this is challenging and now its one of those games you ignore when you see anything about it.
Spyro The Dragon on the other hand is now angry all the time and went from cute to Hardcore Kratos.

Is that really the way?
Toughen up something we liked when we were young in hopes we will like it again.
I remember a company that did that a few years back and failed.

Perfection in simplicity I guess. That and the fact that there probably hasn't been a platform made in the last 15 years that doesn't have some version of the game on it - sheer market penetration counts for something.

That said, I find the exclusion of Pac-Man particularly galling, for it was on the strength of Pac-Man and pinball alone that gaming survived the long winter following the video game market crash of '83
