Guitar Hero: World Tour Full Tracklist Released

The final 86-long song list for Activision and Neversoft's Guitar Hero: World Tour has been confirmed and awaits for you to "Beat It" by "Livin' on a Prayer", promising 80's fans some fun times.

Activision claims Guitar Hero World Tour will deliver more music included with a game than any other music, as the next iteration of the Guitar Hero franchise features 83 master tracks and two original arrangements by Ted Nugent and Zakk Wylde.

As the guitar music genre grows, bands have been split as to who to contribute music toward, Harmonix and Rock Band 2 or Activision/Neversoft and Guitar Hero: World Tour. The result is a number of shared tracks [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/85001-Rock-Band-2-Song-List-Revealed] between them, such as Bon Jovi's "Livin on a Prayer" and Blondie's "One Way or Another."

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I was so set on Rock Band 2 but now there are TOOL TRACKS IN GH:WT?

This is so not good for my wallet.

Edit : Though it does make me rethink my whole "Honestly I can't see Tool ever thinking going that mainstream would be a good idea". Maybe this opens up for other bands I never expected. But uh... please on one series of games? Preferably the one with the most compatibility between versions >_>

Dream Theater - "Pull Me Under"

That is gonna rock with the drums and bass added in. I've been wondering when they would use a song from Dream Theater. Portnoy and Petrucci are two of the most technically skilled musicians I've ever seen.

That and the bass track on this song is a lot of fun.

I'll have to agree. Constant Motion on Rock Band has proved that Petrucci will rock you. Panic Attack will prove that John Myung and Portnoy are extremely technical as well.

As much as I like this setlist, I still will be sticking with Rock Band 2, 500 songs by the end of the year makes me a happy person. To top that off, I can expect more Dream Theater, as they have done an audio interview and Portnoy does play Rock Band, although on the guitar rather than the drums, but that just makes the idea of more DT on RB.

I might actually fork out my money for this now. Particularly with the "create a song" thingy. Some truly quality stuff there.

Crap.

Crap crap crap crap crap.

Now the same thing that happened to Dragonforce is going to happen to Tool. Not that many people really like them, but now that they are on Guitar Hero, the streets will be filled with people who know Tool only because of the aformentioned game.

It will be the end of days!

Remember how Rock band ended up with kick ass DLC songs, and ended up with the only decent songs on GH III? Think that might appen again?
I do remember it, and yeah, it's certainly a possibility.

BUT WHAT IF IT DOESN'T?

What, it's not good that more people are going to be exposed to the awesomely epic stylings of Maynard and Co.? I'm stoked myself. The 3 Tool songs and "Stillborn" and the new Zakk Wylde piece make this a must-buy for me.

definately a good list of tracks, I am pretty pumped about mars volta, because they are such a weird band and I am not sure how well they will move over to people imitating the lead singers high voice. I already got the pre-order for this, but hopefully a friend gets rock band 2 so I can experience both.
