Thats a lot of songs.

I'm a little bit sour about the lack of Iron Maiden, they've been on every GH so far (I think). Why get rid of them now?

Crap.

Crap crap crap crap crap.

Now the same thing that happened to Dragonforce is going to happen to Tool. Not that many people really like them, but now that they are on Guitar Hero, the streets will be filled with people who know Tool only because of the aformentioned game.

It will be the end of days!
I really don't get why you think this is a bad thing.

Im sorta blessful and pissed off theirs no Led Zeppelin. I would love to be able to play "Over the Hills and Far Away" and "Houses of the Holy", but i dont want everyone suddenly starting this big craze similar to the Dragonforce craze last year

I don't think it would start a Led Zeppelin phase. Who the hell wouldn't know about Led Zeppelin?
(honestly I want to know, does anybody here actually not know who they are?)

I know who they are and I think most people here do as well.

I think what made Dragon Force so popular after GH3 is the fact that they made Through the Fire and the Flames the hardest song. This made people think that the band has 1337 guitar skills and hence made them popular. Same could happen to any band if the developers make their song the hardest in the game.

Word. I don't understand these elitists who want to be the only people who like a band or artist. Personally I knew about Dragonforce from TTF&F from way before GH3, but there's a nice selection of Tool songs here, some of my favorites, and broadening the fan base is only a good thing. If anything it increases the demand for new music and, much as I love Puscifer, more Tool material would never be a bad thing.

It doesn't have Black Sabbath so it's a fail on my list, and didn't Led Zeppelin refuse to put their songs in Guitar Hero?

No Led Zepplin :(
Meh, I've only heard of 7 of them, but I am pleased that Beat It and Assassin made it.
If I did have enough money for the game, I'd probably buy the new Ocarina I've been wanting instead, since it's a real instrument not a fisher-price band kit.

Out of all the Metallica songs in the world they chose Trapped Under Ice? Is there no love for stuff like Harvester of Sorrow?

I know. I was hoping for Master of Puppets or Fade to Black.

People would get sick of Master of Puppets. It's too long. Same with fade to black.

Whiskey in the Jar would have been awesome though.

Hendrix, the Doors, Hotel California, Steely Dan... I am liking GHWT's setlist a little more than Rockbands at the moment. Dosen't mean I am not rushing out to by RB Sunday, but you know... Hendrix and the Doors...

my only fear is that these great artists get the Dragonforce treatment and all of a sudden everyone and their mom is acting like they have always listened to them even though they only know a handful of songs

...freakin conformists

People, who care about the beginning tracklist? Rock band will have all of these good songs and more by the end of the year in DLC. Rock band proved Harmonix follows through, whereas GH3's DLC was rather...lacking.

Wheres mai Maiden?

I was really looking forward to belting out Pacshendalle or The Mercenary, something less mainstream. Still no Dio :(.

It didn't beat out RB2 by putting in Thick as a Brick, I would love to watch someone try and play that on one of those chunks of plastic while I slap on a capo and 1up them on my acoustic :D

LewsTherin, from what I understand, the reason for no Maiden in GHWT or master tracks in Rock Band is that the master track for the drum line was lost, so yeah. Still sucks. Must...play...Killers...
