Bad Company 2, Half Life, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Duty 1/2/4 have some damn cool gun sounds.

Oh yeah and the AK 47 and AK 2012 from Metro sound pretty brutal as well.

I don't really care if gun sounds are 'bad' most of the time, 'cept for the 'rattlesnake' effect of the suppressors in Black Ops...

Aren't suppressors mean't to make more of a 'cough' sound?

A gun that is suppressed is still loud as shit, the strength of the silencer lies in that it keeps you from seeing where the bullet is coming from. The shot has a few less decibles, but its still loud enough that you would hear it with little problems.

Guns are loud, very loud, to the point they are defeaning, unless your using a 22 or something, but even those are louder then most gun sounds in video games i feel know. The game is loud, but not because the gun fire is loud, the game is just obnoxious with everything else.
