My high school was placed on lockdown when some parent spotted an adult carrying a rifle in the building.

Turned out to be one of the teachers with an Airsoft weapon intended for a physics experiment which he did every year.
Same thing happened in my school. The teacher told the cops and the principle but he got reported by someone anyway.

Three times in one month we had the fire alarms go off because a couple kids were smoking marijuana in the bathrooms and disposing of them in the trash can. Thankfully they got caught on their third go at it; they were pretty damn stupid and kept going to the same washroom, so when the fire alarms went off for an unexplained reason for the third time our resource officer and principal made a mad dash for that washroom and caught them red-handed.

We also had a bomb threat; turns out it was just some kind of thin, closed paper roll with a pipe-cleaner thingy taped onto it that someone did as a prank. They were caught on camera. Yeaaaah.
good riddance there.

one time before "test day" for whatever reason,i can't remember, someone stretched out and stuck a nasty ass condom over the air vent in the bathroom and cracked the door, so throughout the test day it seeped into the hallway and about midday the hallway smelled like complete hairy ass dingle berries, it was nasty as hell.

Hmm, let's see.

In elementary school, we had a bomb threat called in. School was evacuated for 2-3 hours while bomb squad searched the area. Turns out two kids from the high school thought the threat would be a funny prank, so there was never any danger.

In middle school, some girl who was bullied a lot brought a knife and a list of people to kill. She was escorted away by the counselor before anything happened. Also, some kids set the trash can and stall walls on fire in the girls bathroom.

And, while I wasn't attending the university at the time, I was in my father's office on campus. There was a shooting near our fine arts building which was on the opposite side of campus, didn't hear the shots but my father got an email and text telling us to lock the doors as there was a shooting. Thankfully for the rest of the student body, it was a personal dispute and not some crazy guy going on a rampage. It all went rather smoothly and the shooters were caught.

A friend of mine put a smoke bomb in someone's locker. It somehow caught fire and we weren't allowed back in the school for a good 40 minutes.

Luckily he only got a one-semester suspension. Still an extremely stupid idea.

Well, some looney would call in an "earthquake drill" at least once a month. Yup, they would gather us all up outside in the athletic yard, while the police would use dogs to search for earthquakes in our lockers. Heck, they would even take the dogs on top of the school roof, and look for earthquakes up there.

I hope by now you realize I am not actually talking about earthquakes, no that was just what they told us. We all knew they were in fact searching for extra terrestrial life.

nope. unfortunately, no, nothing that interesting ever happened.
We had plenty of lockdowns.

All of them were drills.

Our school was prepped for a massacre, luckily reality is not quite as malicious as folks prepare for.

More often than not at least.

(Yes. Yes. I know better safe than sorry, I'm not complaining...it was good pokemon time).

Fire erupted in our cafeteria, fire across the street, and a bomb threat at the middle school about a quarter of a mile away. That's about it.

Some kid left a singing card open in his locker and when the battery started to die it made a ticking noise. Kid's locker was opened up by the janitors and he was brought to the principal's office. "Sir we heard this in your locker" *opens card* CAN'T TOUCH THIS DA NA NA NA DA NA NA. Kid was about to be suspended, but his dad was pretty quick. HE said if you suspend/expel my child I'm going to have the safety board (or whatever) ask why you didn't evacuate the school if you believed there was a bomb in my son's locker. They decided to drop the whole issue.

There was once a bomb scare at my school where a "bloody" (it turned out to be ketchup) kermit the frog puppet was left in the parking lot and for some reason word spread it was a bomb and they had to close the school for a day and the police used one of their robot bomb defusers only to discover it was just a kermit puppet. The school made a "kermit is DA BOMB" facebook group in commemoration. Unfortionatly I didn't get to witness any of it as it was just before I transferred there.

Our school went on lockdown for the cops to look for drugs a couple of times. This was a regular routine, sometimes it lasted longer than other times. That's the middle of nowhere for you...

I don't think anything too exciting ever happened, I think we had a couple substitute teachers fired because they were total pervs. One of them looked like Mr. Bean and the other was really loopy. When he taught a gym class, he went into full on drill sergeant mode in the most ludicrous way possible. Most of the time his behavior was really goofy though. I think he was religious too, in a computer class he told me and my friend (The only students in the class) that he thought they should teach lessons from the bible in school. My friend talked about how she wasn't religious (I wasn't either), I just nodded and kept watching my Naruto episode...

My architect school caught fire back in May, when people were finishing up their final projects for the year, some even their entire time in school. Took 26 hours to put it out, all while students stood outside, nervously asking "Will the firefighters be done soon? I need to go inside and work." Seriously. But the school survived and everything's peaches and gravy now. Also no-one set the building on fire or anything dramatic as that, the fire was caused by faulty wiring.

Waaay back in 1997, some kids shot up another kid at my high school. Also, my job used to be fighting in a war, which is mostly boring.

My current job, though? Nah. It's my job to be armed and look intimidating.

My school went on lockdown one day when some old lady at the strip mall across the street called the police when she saw someone carrying a gun in front of the school. A lockdown ensued for three hours while we sat cramped under our desks. Later on, we discovered that it was just a film student carrying a tripod. Ha ha ha, what a hi-larious misunderstanding.

Oooh, but so many interesting things have happened to my old school... like say the 'Fire alarms' and the 'Enrichment days'.
Nerve-racking if you ask me.

I guess there was that one time in which the students released a pig and it died...

I got put in a mental hospital for 3 days against the will of me and my family when the assistant principal made up a rumor that I was going to blow up the school on 6/6/06.

Aside from that traumatic experience nothing happened.
