I was just wondering. If you have ever shot a gun, what kind was it, and what was the round that you shot? I ask the round size for those of us that don't know what rounds go to what weapons. Grain count isn't so much as issue here, but if you'd like to post that too, feel free.

I've shot a S&W model 29 with the .44 magnum rounds, a Mosin Nagant with 7.62x56mmR, a .380 pistol (it wasn't mine, and I don't recall the make and model), a semi-auto .22 and bolt action .22 both of which I don't recall the makes or models of. I think the semi-auto was a Mauser, but I don't recall the model.

Soon, I'm going to shoot an M1A though. I think that shoots the 7.62x51mm. I think it's x51 anyway.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the 12 gauge shotgun I shot. I've shot buckshot, birdshot, and slugs from it.

Never shot a gun, the closest I've ever been to that is using a modified m16 for an electronic range in a Marine base. It was fairly because you still needed to insert a magazine, chamber a round and turn the safety off before you could fire. Only with next to no recoil and no sound.

Never have. Around here, guns are only in the hands of police, military and criminals. Since I don't wanna be a cop, have a decent enough life to not be a criminal and was rejected (thank God for that) by the army when I was drafted, I probably won't fire a gun ever.

I'd like a handgun, though. Just for kicks.

That sounds really cool. If you could have something like that have the recoil and sound, it would help a lot with training. A lot of it is simply gaining the confidence to use the gun. A lot of people seem to be afraid it's going to smack them in the face or something, so that would help them build confidence without the cost of all the ammo until they get used to it.

I've shot a .22 long rifle, a .243 winchester and a 12 gauge shotgun. I live in Mississippi where even pacifists know how to shoot.

I shoot old guns, with historically accrurate shots.

So, I shoot:
1884 Winchester 1873 with .44-.40 shot.
1862 Colt Army Model 1860 with .44 calibur shot
1863 Colt Navy with .36 calibur shot.

Yeah, screw your new age guns and assualt rifles. you odnt know fear till a man who looks like jesse james decides he wants to shoot an apple off your head with a real wild west gun.

I own several types of guns. I have everything from a Glock 17 to a hand made .50 BMG rifle.

Shot a 12-gauge, 9mm, .357 & .44 magnum, .380, .177 hornet, .22 long rifle, .308 in both bolt-action and semi-auto, 410 gauge, and a S&W 500.

Pretty much anyone in the states will have shot at least something.

I've shot several .22 rifles, 12 guage shotguns, and 30-30 rifles. I have also shot my uncles .45 revolver, a friend's 30-06, a 20 guage, a .22 pistol, a 9mm rifle, a .270, and a couple of muzzle loaders(i think they were both .50 cal, but one might have been .60 cal).

I have not shot a gun. The closest I have ever came to shooting a real gun would be a NERF gun.

I've fired the AR-15, the SAR-21 and the Ultimax 100 LMG. All of them 5.56mm weapons. i've fired the FN MAG/M-240 GPMG a number of times too, although just with blanks.

That was my time in the military

I also fired the 0.22 S&W revolver a few times as well.
That was when i was in the Police Cadet Corp during my time in middle school.

I'm jealous. I've always wanted to shoot a FN FAL. I've never even seen one IRL though. I want to shoot a G3 and AUG A3 too.

I've shot a .22 Semi automatic Marlin rifle, "El cheapo" as my grandfather described it as we only used it for plinking. Also shot a single barreled shotgun a while back don't remember the model or ammo type.

it was allot of fun and a good amount of kick, no too much unlike the m1 Garrand which hurt quite a bit, really recommend trying one out.

I went clay pidgeon shooting for my friend's 11th birthday. I fired some type of shotgun. That is my total actual gun experience.

So yeah, basically this.

I personally wouldn't mind having a go with some others at a range but I don't have any desire to own one.

The only "gun" I've fired is a pellet gun in a shooting gallery at a carnival once. It was alright. And I wasn't too bad at it.

Oh yeah, and a Maverick NERF gun.

That is all.
