Because Halo sucks!! I kid I kid....

How about because it's that most famous xbox exclusive ever?

Maybe the other 2 Halos for PC didn't sell that well? Or maybe they just waiting for the new windows OS so they can make it an exclusive. Like Halo 2.

If you're talking about Halo 3, then it's because it's the biggest 360 exclusive and helps sell consoles. Besides, I don't know many PC gamers who like Halo or want it.

Halo isn't particularly popular among PC gamers. Halo 2 killed it with its Vista requirements just a few months after Vista's release.

They'll probably wait until Halo 3 sales drop drastically, which won't happen soon with ODST coming out in a week. Once they've insured that every person who may possibly consider buying the game has it, they'll release Halo 3 on the PC so that not only all the PC elitists (not pointing fingers, just saying they're out there) and mod-freaks will buy it, but everyone who already has it for the 360 however wants to see the all-but-inevitable exclusive content will buy it too.

I have it on the 360, but I'd never buy it for PC. There are much better titles on that platform for me to spend my money on.

TBH I'm not that interested. I have enough multiplayer shooters of better quality and the storyline was a bit meh.

I hope they do release this on P.C. I want someone to remake Halo 2 using the Halo 3 engine like that Black Mesa mod for Half-Life. Seriously the only things I didn't like about Halo 2 was the Brutes were not fun to fight and the Elite's melee strength was ridiculous. Replacing Halo 2 Brutes with H3 Brutes would remove one of my only complaints with the campaign.

Speaking of which was that mod ever released for Half-Life?

System specs probably play a role as to why it's not on PC right now.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH oh god my side AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA-

Yeah, no. Halo isn't THAT hardcorez, it runs on the 360 after all.

A variety of reasons. The first two Halo's didn't sell well because PC gamers have been playing good shooters since forever, took a look at Halo and said "...Whats so special about this?". Also, it's a powerful exsclusive. I'm sure they have some BS reason involving piracy too like Cliffy B did for Gears 2, but in the end it's because PC gamers aren't buying.

It wasn't just that, it was the utter bullshit nature of those vista requirements. The game literally couldn't use any DX10 functionality.

Why would they release a game that they're making plenty of money on for another platform so soon? And they're coming out with that expansion so yeah

- Has been out for so long that all semblance of hype is dead and buried, and it doesn't have significant gimmicks, which means only pure quality could carry it now.
- Probably lacks the quality to stand out in the cutthroat PC FPS scene.
- Long legacies of consoles having dumbed down games to begin with, and of godawful console-to-PC ports, make PC players justifiably wary of anything coming from that direction (which obviously sucks for the rare game that does it right).
- On the off chance some PC gamer really wants to play H3, Microsoft isn't about to pass the chance to sell that guy a $200 Arcade.
- It would almost have to be a budget title on the PC at this point.

I'd consider buying it at $20 if there was no online DRM.
