I am in agreement. It is exactly 4(four) characters more to type 'alo ' and have the actual title of the game without any possible confusion. Were you in some kind of ludicrous hurry? I know people usual justification is efficiency, but is it really so inefficient to type and extra four characters?Souplex said:I am not sure about how the rest of the Escapist feels but I poiysunaly disapprove of needless abbreviations.
I am sticking with that idea...and the fact that it's the greatest xbox exclusiveIdealistCommi said:I guess they want to push Windows 7, and maybe DX11.
Because no one could run it. Seriously, when it was released the only people who could have run it were people with DX10 cards (the install base was small), and Vista (also small), the crossover between those markets was minuscule. I game fairly seriously, and the only reason I can run it now is because I finally got a laptop that shipped with Vista and had a Geforce 9800 in it.Chrissyluky said:if they did do a pc port it would all but confirm the cash cow accusations(number 2 sold very poorly for pc)
While this is in part true, it is not correct in it's wholesome. Halo was originally designed for the PC/MAC, it was simply Microsoft wanting a launch title.TheTygerfire said:Halo was the game that defined console FPS'sPauL o_O said:Why was this never made / would you buy it?

IIRC it was actually orignally announced back in... 97? as a Mac exclusive, though after Durandal and Myth a PC release was probably inevitable. It was also announced as an RTS.Aesthetical Quietus said:While this is in part true, it is not correct in it's wholesome. Anyways, back on topic. I doubt that we'll get Halo 3 on the PC until the new xBox comes out. If you have a look at the launch times of the 360 and the launch time of Halo 2, you'll see that they wait for two years [roughly] to announce the release of Halo 2 on the PC, well after the 360 had started gaining popularity.
I won't be buying it neways. Halo 2 was poorly optimised, to the point where I gave up even trying to play it on my system, the slight lag it was giving me, with the poor graphics and the poor quality of the port means that no way in hell will I ever be buying Halo for the PC again.
You've got Sonic Unleashed as your avatar, I don't think you're a good authority on what is good software and what isn't.Daedalus1942 said:I wouldn't sell well unless they release it on windows 7. Vista is just... fail...PauL o_O said:Why was this never made / would you buy it?
Starke said:Heh, teach me for trusting Wikipedia. [I had heard that somewhere, but I didn't know if it was true, so I took Wikipedia's advice] I did know the part about the RTS, which shocked me. I mean how many assets are transferable between an RTS and an FPS. [Assuming they keep with the traditional bird's eye view of RTS's]. Surely Microsoft were better off to release it both as an RTS and an FPS.Aesthetical Quietus said:IIRC it was actually orignally announced back in... 97? as a Mac exclusive, though after Durandal and Myth a PC release was probably inevitable. Don't be silly!. The monitor can be integrated into the speedometer or the passenger seat airbags. The keyboard can be the steering wheel itself, it'll be like the Macwheel.xmetatr0nx said:The Hummer for the PC? Im confused, i guess you could customize your H3 to have a PC, the monitors could go on the back seats.
That would be the best thing ever.xmetatr0nx said:The Hummer for the PC? Im confused, i guess you could customize your H3 to have a PC, the monitors could go on the back seats.
Glad to see someone that has the same opinionBaggie said:TBH I'm not that interested. I have enough multiplayer shooters of better quality and the storyline was a bit meh.
