I am in agreement. It is exactly 4(four) characters more to type 'alo ' and have the actual title of the game without any possible confusion. Were you in some kind of ludicrous hurry? I know people usual justification is efficiency, but is it really so inefficient to type and extra four characters?

Perhaps its because some PC gamers remember the debacle that was the Halo 2 port. It looked horrible, ran poorly, and wasn't much fun. I quite enjoyed Halo: CE when it came out for the PC and picked up Halo 2 when I got my new laptop back in 2007 or so. It really felt hastily shoved out the door and not optimized for the PC as there were many games coming out at around the same time that looked a lot better graphically and ran smoother on my machine.

Because no one could run it. Seriously, when it was released the only people who could have run it were people with DX10 cards (the install base was small), and Vista (also small), the crossover between those markets was minuscule. I game fairly seriously, and the only reason I can run it now is because I finally got a laptop that shipped with Vista and had a Geforce 9800 in it.

Most 360 games can be bought for the PC but the 360 needs some exclusive titles so it will sell. If you could buy every 360 game on the PC there would be no need for a 360 really.

No because I don't like Halo. *ducks*

Halo was the game that defined console FPS's

and it's not on PC because IT WAS DESIGNED FOR CONSOLES.
While this is in part true, it is not correct in it's wholesome. Halo was originally designed for the PC/MAC, it was simply Microsoft wanting a launch title.

Anyways, back on topic. I doubt that we'll get Halo 3 on the PC until the new xBox comes out. If you have a look at the launch times of the 360 and the launch time of Halo 2, you'll see that they wait for two years [roughly] to announce the release of Halo 2 on the PC, well after the 360 had started gaining popularity.
I won't be buying it neways. Halo 2 was poorly optimised, to the point where I gave up even trying to play it on my system, the slight lag it was giving me, with the poor graphics and the poor quality of the port means that no way in hell will I ever be buying Halo for the PC again.

IIRC it was actually orignally announced back in... 97? as a Mac exclusive, though after Durandal and Myth a PC release was probably inevitable. It was also announced as an RTS.

I wouldn't sell well unless they release it on windows 7. Vista is just... fail...
You've got Sonic Unleashed as your avatar, I don't think you're a good authority on what is good software and what isn't.

Fuck you, I jumped from my chair hoping that this was from the news. No, I don't know why it was never made. Yes, I would buy it.

Microsoft never contacted Bungie to start of a port of Halo 3. Even if they did, the developers have been too busy with ODST and Reach.

Heh, teach me for trusting Wikipedia. [I had heard that somewhere, but I didn't know if it was true, so I took Wikipedia's advice] I did know the part about the RTS, which shocked me. I mean how many assets are transferable between an RTS and an FPS. [Assuming they keep with the traditional bird's eye view of RTS's]. Surely Microsoft were better off to release it both as an RTS and an FPS.

The Hummer for the PC? Im confused, i guess you could customize your H3 to have a PC, the monitors could go on the back seats.
Don't be silly!. The monitor can be integrated into the speedometer or the passenger seat airbags. The keyboard can be the steering wheel itself, it'll be like the Macwheel.

I love Halo but I wouldn't get Halo 3 on PC. Reason being? I have it on Xbox instead. It's as simple as that. It would be good if it was released on PC but frankly I already have a copy and I'll be getting the Mythic map set soon enough anyway, so there'd be no difference unless there were plenty of new PC-exclusive features released on it.

That would be the best thing ever.

Arnold Schwarshigivermegriealebigmusclesman designed the hummer because he wanted a street legal Humvee(hopefully spelled right) but alot of Generals and the like said it couldn't be done. did he change that...

TBH I'm not that interested. I have enough multiplayer shooters of better quality and the storyline was a bit meh.
Glad to see someone that has the same opinion :D
