Hackers Claim to Have Grabbed Halo: Reach From Microsoft Site

For some reason I really don't believe this happened. I'm skeptical of the legitimacy of this claim and since there is a lack of proof, I am inclined to believe this story is filled with BS. Proof or it didn't happen.

Actually it is true. I've seen a lot of the gameplay of Forgeworld, the new maps and was so damn close to getting the story spoiled for me.

I look forward to the 16 page debate about piracy.

If what these fellows have done is true, then Microsoft seriously needs to step up their security. It seems that every Halo game since #3 has been leaked and played in advance. It's cute really, but pre-release leaks are nothing new.

This isn't piracy. This is theft. The game isn't out yet, it's theft.

Yes, that's true. But, as you know, whenever there's a discussion on theft or piracy rates, there's usually a couple dozen pirates and a couple dozen anti-pirates who will debate about the pros and cons of both sides for pages on end. I'm pleasantly surprised this didn't happen.
