Hi there, my situation is simple, i have a few of those edgy new myspace / facebook pages and i have two programer friends who keep hacking them and changing crap on my pages.

can anyone help me either get back at them, teach me how to get back at them or tell me how to stop them hacking my accounts.

thanks for your time.

Seeing as I know nothing about hacking or anything like that, the extent of my advice there is to change the email/password for your accounts.

As for getting back at them, well I can't help in terms of hacking as afore mentioned but I suggest something humiliating, maybe some embarrassing pictures should be taken and 'accidentally' put up on your accounts for all to see.

If they actually know you personally and you are their friends, it would be tough to stop them from socially engineering their way into your accounts. The only way you can really stop that is to delete the accounts and create new ones that they don't know about.

I know them in person, and if i make a new account i cant really have anyone on it because they are linked to most of my friends lol, maybe the best thing is to not have the pages... but i am addicted to face book... hmm

It's odd though, if it were that easy I'd have imagined facebook/myspace would have a crisis on their hands with people being hacked all over the place.

Perhaps doing what Proteus214 said is a good idea. Delete the accounts and make new ones without telling them. Obviously they will find out eventually but perhaps they will get the message. If not tell them to grow the fuck up.

Apart from what has been said - making a new account

change your password on your email and myspace accounts to contain

one capital letter
at least 3 numbers

And here I was thinking that hacking is a crime.
[HEADING=1]Oh Wait. It Is.[/HEADING]
If it comes down to it, just threaten them with that fact.

ive given up hacking, but this is a trick i used to well, trick facebook. put one space in front of a new username that is one of your friends. put embarrassing stuff on it. he'll most likely be afraid that you have hacked him. this is a bluff move. its not really a hack though.

lol, good point, but they are somewhat good friends, just taking a joke a bit to far.

This depends on your physical size and/or level of vindictiveness.

If it was me I would either go round and thump them one (immature, but satisfying, they probably won't tell anyone as then they'd have to explain why you suddenly wanted to thump them).

Or I'd gather some proof and report them to the Police/Uni authorities depending on how much I wanted to ruin them.

Neither is particularly nice but then they think it's funny to fuck around with your things.

So tell them just that.
"Hey guys, I know this is funny and all, but it's starting to get kind of old and in some ways it feels like you're violating my privacy a bit. You mind not doing that anymore? It's starting to become irritating."
If they truly are your friends, they will stop.

do you think i would have started this thread if i hadn't already tried that?
I have tried talking to them, but their nature is immature and persistant, two very annoying traits.

Want to stop it? Turn the police on them. Hacking is illegal, even for Myspace.

This, or maybe, if you DO know them irl, beat the crap out of them?
I know I would.
