I've become infamous for my chest hair, having grown a significant amount of it in a very short time. (Late 15 to early 16. I turned 17 earlier this month.)

I'm one of the very few hairy-chested teenagers around.

I'm not sure how I should feel about this.

I have a hairy chest that grew in a weird kind of gothic crucifix pattern. I like it, and my girlfriend likes it. Actually she told me she'd be mad at me if I shaved it because then it wouldn't be my chest any more.

What I want to know is when the pinnacle of manliness became having a clean shaven chest like that of a woman? Remember that old saying "it puts hair on your chest"? That was a euphemism for "it makes you more of a man." I think the trend toward shaven chests is a side-effect of the sissification of society.

That is the sole reason that anyone would try vegemite, cos the old guys lie to us about it's abilities

OT. as a swimmer and waterpolo player I often shaved it off as a nessecsity- trust me you don't wanna give those buggers anything to grab.

Im 15. A little chest hair, but not much. Not like my uncles, they are like bears.

My legs on the other hand, they are rugs.

i am pretty hairy and have no problem with it. with that said i am very into working out and hairiness obscures muscle definition so i trim my chest hair to have maximum definition in my abs and pecs

My chest hair is beginning to grow and it's like wooo!

So I don't mind seeing people with hairy chests, it's just a chest:p

I'm 22 and have a hairy chest and I don't think it will ever come to mind to shave there.Only men that I've seen shave their chest are porn stars/athletes.

I'm okay with them. If I wasn't that would mean I have a problem with Sean Connery and its physically impossible to have a problem with him.

I am also a proud owner of a hairy chest. I don't care what anyone says, men are not meant to be hairless. It looks unnatural.

EDIT: I've had hair for so long it has become a part of my identity. I feel naked if I even shave my face smooth.
You are me, hehe! Don't even remember the last time I clean shaved

Eh haven't got that much hair and I guess I wouldn't enjoy it. Girlfriend doesn't like it so it's win-win for me.

If God didn't want me to have a hairy chest, he wouldn't have given me one. It just means he wants me to survive the inevitable ice age that's coming.

The hair on my shoulders is just takin the piss though.

Hey, I'm a spiritual kind of guy.
If God wanted you to live forever, he'd have given you immortality.

Doesn't mean if he didn't that you shouldn't want it.
Touche good sir. Touche.

I have hair nearly everywhere (though I'm losing the hair on my head). My wife likes it, so that's all that matters to me.

The eurocentrism, it BURNS!

It looks nice on some guys, especially if they have nice muscley pecs. Hairy flat chests or hairy man boobies are pretty gross though.

Also, to clear up any misconceptions: We are not evolving to being less hairy; with the development of clothing there's no strong evolutionary pressure on hairiness. Hairs don't necessarily keep things warmer or lead to more sweat. The hairs on the human body are too sparse for insulation and it's much more likely they developed to facilitate the cooling process. Think of them like little radiators.

It's a matter of cultures and races (i'm not being racist at all), asians by "default" hav no hair on their chest as many many black people, and of course our new beloved pets called "Metrosexuals" has no hair at all xD

[/end_thread]

BTW i'm a proud hairy chest owner since i had 14 years xD

I think light chest hair looks best. Some can pull off none and some can pull off a chest rug but, genereally, I prefer light amounts.
