Due to 2 recent threads, one about half life 1 and the other about what game have you given up on, I've decided to ask you guys, what's your personal strategy to defeating the striders at the end of HL2 EP2? I really want to beat it for myself.
I did that too. I swear the last part of the game is the least fun than the rest of it... and I love Valve with a passion.magicmonkeybars said:I drive over the hunters first then hit the striders from behind with the bomb.
Really? I love that part. Especially when things go wrong and you start feeling the pressure of whether you'll make it or not.Grayl said:I did that too. I swear the last part of the game is the least fun than the rest of it... and I love Valve with a passion.
Me too, the last Strider I killed was literally just about to blow up the base - I felt an immense sense of relief when I found that that was the last one. It's an ace ending.chimpzy said:Really? The bit where the hut is demolished by a singularity cannon is the most orgasmically destructive thing in any video game I have ever seen thus far.chimpzy said:Really? I love that part. Anyways, like the people said: get rid of the hunters and then use your gravgun to stick the striders with a Magnusson Device. Shoot the device and you've got one less strider to worry about.
That is the best way.number2301 said:Perseverance. And saving every time I manage to kill one flawlessly.
Actually I do have a decent piece of advice, best way to kill the little things (hunters? It's been a while) is with rockets or running them over.
