Well, let me start off by saying that I have never played CoD online. The last time I played it with friends I was very drunk and was somehow able to pull off a few wins, but that's not much in terms of experience. When it comes to Halo on XBL I suck--SUCK at it. I played online as much as I could for Reach and endured loss after loss after loss myself. Did I blame the graphics? Yup. Did I blame the physics? Yup. Did I blame the gameplay not being identical to 3? Definitely. But I knew that there were people out there with a much better sense of the game than I had, and that was the only real reason. The multiplayer matchmaking made me furious, so I just stopped playing it. I still did firefight like crazy. Sometimes I did it with other people, and when they were being annoying or crappy I would disconnect-reconnect-resume with them gone and enjoyed the game all by my happy lonesome.DaHero said:You tell me how someone could be so psychotic as to enjoy losing. 7 years of FPS gaming and all I do is lose. I don't have fun and I never will, care to explain? FPS games are the worst kind of "fun" there is. It's only fun for about 5% of the community. The other 95% are stuck with some shitty ass team while they lose constantly and manage to worm out some single win which is supposed to magically make things fun again.SEPECAT said:I'm sick of it.
FPS games are about as much fun as getting shot. I gag every time someone even mentions playing multiplayer and I sure as hell will never go back. I'm so sick of every time I try and play it's just loss after loss. YOU prove to me that multiplayer based games are fun and I'll go buy a pair of skates because clearly Hell has frozen over.
7 years of FPS gaming and that is the consistent result? Wow, you are dedicated! Fast paced multiplayer gaming is something I've never really been able to get into, so I'm surprised I played Reach online at all (wait, no, that was just to increase rank). But I am not going to try to convince that multiplayer FPS is fun because I don't think it's fun. I love the Halo series because I genuinely like the campaigns. And dicking around with friends is fun.
