Aside from the shift to third person, this feels a lot more like Unreal Tournament 3 than Gears of War 1 or 2, but I agree. There are so many slower-paced or more tactical shooters like CoD out there it's been a long time since we were given a really kickass arena shooter. Looks like we've got that now. I'm having a blast with the demo and aside from occasionally transforming when I try to melee (I'm heavy on the thumbsticks, so sometimes I mean to click only one and I click both) it's been completely fine for me. Hopefully in time and with practice I'll stop being so twitchy with the thumbstick presses.
