conan (the later version).
the game does not like you and therefore kills you at every possible moment.
if you manage to finally kill the final boss you notice youve only been doing it on easy and have medium, hard and king mode to complete.

Baldur's gate was a ***** to play! Anybody agree?
I have to say, not really. Some fights were quite hard, but I usually figured out a way to win after a few tries.

Well, the harderst game I ever played was an old strategy game called Commandos. Loved it, though, despite coming nowhere close to the end!
Oh wow.. The expansion of the first game was even more impossible. I tried, I really did.. But the game is just impossible. You really need flawless timing to get your guys across the map to the goal without being spot or triggering the alarm (which spawns hundreds of soldiers out of a 1 by 1 hut. I am not exaggerating here)
Wow, no, I never played the expansion, but I did play the sequal...it never had the same draw for me that the first did.

Rolo To The Rescue, simply because of its lenght and lack of save points mean that you would probably need a whole weekend of caffeine scoffing to finish it!
Brilliant, I forgot about Rolo. I've had my share of controller-throwing moments with that, and I never finished it.

Ketsui.

The real last boss of that game is called Doom. And that's pretty accurate a name.

Pacman last level.
Seriously, fucking impossible to (a) Get there, and (b) beat it.
Also, a little flash game called The Unfair Platformer.

Sorry, but nothing made commercially after 1995 should be on this list.

Also, once again, Battle Toads.

Freecell! :O

Has anyone here tried Left 4 Dead on Expert? Geez, man.
Even worse; before the update, you could get Versus games on Expert. :O Literally no one I've ever know has survived it. (Now it's down to normal to make it possible for the Survivors to win.

-the original Ghosts and Goblins.
All on the NES. Special recognitions go to the original Bionic Commando and The original Castlevania.

Zork, or maybe Infocom's Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Universe. Really, a text-based game where the game actually lies to you...

Man, I havn't seen the first ninja gaiden on the x-box. That game was brutal if only because of those ninjas with the explosive shurikens. Practically impossible to dodge, and always deadly.

Yeah, this looks moderately manageable. Metal slug 3 however is not. You will die. A lot.
I can get through MS3 with a minimal amount of continues, but Metal Slug was the first game I really loved so I've played it a bit TOO much.
