I don't find RE 3 all that hard. Obviously the Nemesis is a pain up the arse at the best of times, but considering you can make ammo, and you have an assault rifle in the beginning, it really does help ease the strain a little.Drop_D-Bombshell said:I see Resident Evil 3 the hardest, simply because of the amount of times you fight Nemesis and the rarity of finding ammo in the streets. Finding gun powder meant you had to find the safe house, so in a pinch with only a few bullets let and several zombies, finding gunpowder was a nightmare...
You only get the assault rifle if you play on easy mode. I'm assuming Mr. Bombshell was playing on hard.Jazoni89 said:I don't find RE 3 all that hard. In hard mode you don't get the assault rifle until you defeat Nemesis in St. Michael's. And while you can make ammo, it replaces most of the ammo finds in RE3, so you only really get ammo in the safe rooms unless you spend an inventory slot on the gunpowder case thingy. Yeah, you can escape Nemesis but running from him makes you reckless and run into other enemies so you're bound to get hurt somehow.w9496 said:You only get the assault rifle if you play on easy mode. Yeah once you know which ones to kill and which ones to run past, ammo isn't a concern. However, getting to that point takes a few playthroughs. I blew through RE4 my first time playing it; I had to stop and restart RE1 four times before I got the hang of what to do. I give the edge to RE1 over any of the other original RE games. Ammo was plentiful in RE2 and certainly RE3 even without knowing what to do. And RE0 had two characters so hallways full of zombies didn't stand a chance.Matthew94 said:Actually if you knew what to do, ammo was plentiful in RE1 and you would get bogged down by the sheer amount of it.Link55 said:The first one I think was the hardest because ammo was scarce, there wasn't a lot of saving points and when you did die you would have to start over again, and the first Resident Evil games weren't really a game for aiming.
I remember on my 3-4th playthrough on the DS and I had shit-tons of ammo coming out the wazoo.
