Kingdom Hearts: PS2: Sephiroth.

EDIT: Am I the only one whose beaten him here...?
i have beaten him on Kingdom Hearts 1 but not on Kingdom Hearts 2.
He gets very hard when he starts to do the attack which leaves you at 1 hit death

Any boss from Killzone Liberation, they will make you want to throw your PSP across the room. They will hand you your ass even on normal mode....just like every other normal enemy.

Oh and screw your no RPG rule, even when your maxed gear and level there are still those bosses that will destroy you if you don't have a proper strategy. Magi Master from FF6 isn't hard per say, but if you kill him while he has sufficient magic he will cast ultima on your and there goes your entire party. The only way to kill him is to keep sapping and damaging his magic until he does not have enough to cast ultima and then finish him off.

Elle Kaiser and Diavollo from Crimson Gem saga will rape your party no matter what level or gear if your not careful with your MP and keeping your barrier up. Despite being turn based combat, they will attack 2 or 3 times non stop and just crush your party with some of their attacks.

Ruby and Emerald weapon, do we even need to discuss those guys? Again, your level and gear mean jack shit to them, all that matters is that you actually have a battle plan to beat their cheating asses.
Killzone Liberation was quite hard, but how do you think I felt? I finished the game completely, deleted my file and then like a month later they released act 5 on me! I wanted to cry...

No you are not, but yes, he's rock hard.
I don't care how well hung he is, he's still not easy.
Haha yes. ;)
To be honest, i think with the Masamune... he's compensating for something ;)
You've got to look at Cloud as well. "Buster sword...how'd you carry that thing around?" "In my pants!"

I agree, I mean at least in FFX, Auron looked like he could carry the damned thing with ease (The Masamune, not the game, although.....)

To this formidable parthenon, I will add Dark Samus from Metroid Prime 3. 10/10 on Hyper difficulty, somewhat less on Veteran. Three phases. No checkpoint in between. On a time limit. The last two are only vulnerable at certain times. Yet despite this, the 1st form is the hardest of them! DS is leagues beyond anything she pulled in the previous game, likely to run your Phazon metre up to half before retreating even if you know her attacks well. Did I mention she's got a move that heals her? At least the 2nd phase is something of a breather, as it drops recovery energy... on VETERAN.
THIS!!! I got through hypermode 100% without a hitch, and then I run into her! Three hours of gameplay later and I haven't got her past half way on her first form! How can I stroll through the rest of the game and then be completely and utterly pwnt all of a sudden? Her heal 1/4 of her health in 1/20 of the time it takes to take it off could be the problem! Especially when she does it three #$@%! times in a row!!!

I'm going to go with Angol Moa in the first Wild Arms. The one behind the 5 sealed doors in the arena.

The reason? His favourite attack, The 7th Moon, will almost certainly kill everyone. YOur only defence is to get lots of Goat Dolls (you die, Goat Doll dies, you live), either by the 255-item glitch, or by buying/finding lots.

Also Majora's Mask with the fierce deity's mask. Really tough.
Wait, WITH the mask or without. With, it's easy. Without, freaken hard. 8/10
I thought he was really easy without too. As long as you avoid the damn lasers he shoots out of his eyes you can kill him without even using magic or even arrows (though you do need Zora Link for the first bit).
I have to stand with this dude.... I though Majora was easy. Deity mask or not.

The final boss on Prototype really pissed me off. Also, Tartarus in Halo 2 was always hard for me, for some reason. I know he's not a difficult boss, but he always managed to be irritating.
Seconded. Pretty much any enemy remotely related to the Hunters in Prototype turned out to be a Goddamned Bat.

There's also General Fadroh in Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, the best Gamecube RPG nobody played. And Matriarch Benezia in Mass Effect.

I forget what their names were but the final boss duo from the original golden sun. When I was younger I spent almost 2 weeks of my free time trying to beat them.

Even though it's an RPG, Dullahan from Golden Sun, I don't care what items, levels, psynergy, classes etc. you're carrying are; he is still going to bend you over a couch and beat your ass with a meat tenderizer. His over the top unfair Charon summon and Djinn Storm combo, one decimates your team with possible insta kills, the other pretty much murders your class setup for 9 rounds, he has 16k HP, moves 3 times a turn, everything that isn't a status effect is going to hurt a lot, restores 200 HP a turn, has a drain move that restores 100% HP he steals from 3 of your front party, can end your healer types with Formina Sage.

Now imagine getting that three times in a row in the battle arena.

I have heard forging Excaliburs help, but I don't have that kind of luck, 5% forge chance, yeah screw that.
I agree. Dullahan was the hardest boss I've ever encountered in a game. However, after I beat him once or twice, I found a much easier way to kill him. The trick to beating Dullahan is start the fight with having 8 Dijinn set to each character. Then have everyone do two 4-dijinn summons (judgement, etc.). This will kill him in a few turns (at least it did in my game).
I have so many problems with your theory.
A) Your character's classes and stats are totally shot. So if he survives, you won't.
B) Dullahan can summon Charon on round 1 and any round after he uses Element Swap. Now because of your crappy classes, your luck is totally screwed over, which means he'll easily insta kill your party
C) Djinn Storm is just going to murder you, because you'll have to switch in characters with equally low stats
D) Summon rush doesn't do well in Battle Mode.

Heh. I must've been lucky, then. He's never used it on me. At least, not that I can remember...
Well if you fight him properly, you'll never see it at all. The last time I did it, I used Kumatora's PK Starstorm then PK Love Omega right after he used a Luxury Banana (a cue that he's going to use Starstorm soon), and it killed him outright xD
True. I know I just kept using PK Thunder gamma on him and just kept using combos with Lucas, Duster, and Boney until he fell. Could've helped that my party was slightly over-leveled...
