Wait... wut?

I was expecting a "funny" story about some dude who treid to do an olli in game and somehow impaled himself on something sharp, in a sad but strangely amusing way.

Now im baaawing at the "Uncle, uncle ive been stabbed" part. If i had been in the uncles position that night, there would be two people going to jail for murder over this, if you catch my gist.
Wait...if you killed the killer, wouldn't you be the only one going to jail for murder?

I really wonder how this world drove that guy so insane that he would kill a 9 year old kid.
Also makes me wonder why god would let things like this happen, I usually get the answer:'God gave us free will.' But why would people force their believes onto others, if humanity is supposed to have free will?
Fail for religion.

The title of that post is misleading, which is one of the problems that causes people to blame video games.

the Daily News declined to connect the game with the subsequent violent behavior.
Well, my faith in humanity has finally gone up by 1 point.

Though the stabbing itself made it go back down. Alas, a bittersweet feeling.

The title of this story suggests that the kid somehow killed himself in the act of playing the game, and is therefore slightly misleading.

Just thought I'd mention.

I don't mean to be rude, Greg, but the irony is killing me. You state how the mainstream media hasn't tried to spin this as "video games kill kids", in face of the fact that they usually would, but then you yourself spin the story as such.

Here are the facts:
1. Young kid and adult friend play video game together.
2. Later that night, adult stabs kid.
3. There was no evidence implicating that (1) lead to (2).

So why does your title say he was killed while playing? In reality, he was killed afterward, and it's not even clear that it had anything to do with the game.

So why try to spin this as "game results in murder"?

I sense Fox news taking this story and pissing all over it.(If Fox news even hints its because of video games, I will destroy their building with one falcon punch.)

Poor kid, was it ever established why he was murdered?
Also according to this story, why have you put "kid killed while playing tony hawk: ride" as the title even though it clearly states he was murdered after he played it? Almost as if the game had nothing to do with it...
And one last thing, you indeed have been ninja'd good sir [link]http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.165470?page=1[/link]

A 25 year old killed a 9 year old...over video games? It couldn't have been because the guy was just a nutball in general?

I didn't read in the article about a theft of the game, and if he killed a 9 year old over an argument about games, he probably had issues long before that. If I was the parent, I'd wonder who the fuck the kid's brothers were hanging out with. The assailant was their friend.
