Probably the worst is Mass Effect 2, I didn't read anything related to it and still got it spoiled, I mean C'MON PEOPLE. And it was quite promising. Oh and Batman: Arkahm Asylum. Also my new policy is NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE READ ANYTHING RELATED TO ANY PROMISING GAME. EVER.

(I'm doing ok, haven't seen anything related to DA 2)

I had a friend spoil Red Dead Redemption's ending for me, and three guess' on what game I'm playing through now.
And thanks to surfing through the internets I've also had the ending to Half Life 2: Episode 2 spoiled for me, and a few other games which I had no interest in.

Without the spoiler tags. Obviously, that's just one of the ending to the game, and not the one I got in that playthrough, but I still wanted to kill that guy.

also some prick knew i was close to finishing halo reach and made a MEGA SPOILER "sarcasm" that reach gets blown up. Well done I played the other halos as well big woop.

The Digital Devil Saga storyline was ruined for me, but that was only because I played the 2nd one first :\

Most of the time I seperate myself from my computer when I want to play a game for the story. I didn't touch any forum for a week when Heavy Rain launched and I'm glad that wasn't spoiled for me. I will do the same for Catherine, apparently that game has a twisted story that shouldn't be spoiled.

Eh, most of the time the "Spoiler" is still hidden behind enough layers of other story pieces that even when movies are "spoiled" for me, I'm pleasantly surprised when it actually happens. Just because I know what's going to happen, doesn't mean I know when it happens, and for most game stories, that works out just fine. But for something like Star Wars or The Sixth Sense (just some examples) the spoiler can ruin the whole movie. But not so much for games, IMO.

Heavy Rain was spoiled to me. It wasn't even an accident, such as two people discussing it, someone in a YouTube comment said something really assheaded by saying something like "The killer is ______. HA! NOW YOU CAN'T ENJOY THE GAME"

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I put it out of my mind though and still managed to enjoy the game.

and i already know both of their twists and suprises thanks to my inability to resist curiosity on this very forum and always clicking on spiler warnings no matter how much i know i'll regret looking

The Red Dead Redemption ending was unintentionally ruined by a friend.

He said the ending was kindof like Fallout 3 and he referred to his character as Jack (by accident) instead of John. I put together like Fallout = John dies and that he referred to his character as Jack to mean John dies and you play Jack at the end.

Another friend of our group got shunned for a week for revealing the endings of two games in two days much to a lot of people's chagrin.

Looks like a lot of people had RDR partially spoiled.

Red dead redemption was ruined by some dick on youtube, I tried not tobelieve it but...No... Also FFVII, when I finally got round to playing it, I just completely avoided Aeris due to the spoiler, fecking dicks, ruining games.

Oh, and Mass Effect.

Well, sort of. I knew that you had to let one crew member die, but I didn't know which ones I could choose from. Spent the whole game scared that it was going to make me kill Wrex or Liara.

Also, I know how Red Dead Redemption ends. But I don't really mind.

Just out of curiosity, what exactly was spoiled? I don't remember that game having any particularly huge twists or reveals.

I was wondering whether i should buy it (this was a couple of years after it came out) I didn't know much bout it so i wiki'd it and read through the plot out of curiosity. Haven't forgiven myself yet.

Te final boss and the "Suicide Mission" and probably everything related to them. (Origin of the boss, and mortality of everyone)

I didn't find that section any better than normal, the game was great though. The ending...well that sucked.
If someone has spoiled that for me I wouldn't he believed them, I wouldn't believe it to be so...unsatisfying.
