when E-102 Gamma died.
The mellow piano playing in the back round as the robot that no one cares about sacrifices himself to free the animal trapped inside him.

The ending of Red Dead RRedemption.. In spite of me not really being that attached to the characters, it really hit me hard. And I don't cry that easily. The only reason for me crying over the past 3-4 years were when my girlfriend broke up with me (cried once, got back together with her, then broke it off again without crying), and then sometimes when I listen to certain music or watch a movie. I don't often weep for real life things.

It is kind of weird only crying because of music and movies and a single game..

The ending of Persona 3 was a real tearjerker...

At the end, in order to stop the Avatar of Death, the MC has to use his own soul to act as a sort of barrier. Just when everything seems completely hopeless, all the wishes and hopes of the people you've met and formed strong social links with give you greater strength until you're finally able to deal the killing blow. What's really heartwrenching is that the powers that be give you one final day to say goodbye to everyone you've met. You wake up, you go to school, everyone's throwing a graduation celebration. You talk to everyone you've met and resolve their storylines if you've maxed out their social links. Then you go to the roof of the school, where you find Aigis and she talks about how important you've become to her and how she's changed. Then you start to feel sleepy and lay you head in her lap, slowly closing your eyes, until the whole of S.E.E.S rushes up to the roof to find you having died peacefully in Aigis' lap. That was such a kick in the balls. It felt like everything of your "life" and experiences in the game had led up to that moment of sacrifice. The contract and the velvet room all nothing more than grooming you for that one inevitable moment, with Igor himself acting as a sort of grim reaper. But fuck me if that wasn't a beautiful ending. Not to mention the Avatar's response to your resistance against it. "Whether i kill you now or you die of all age, you die either way" is what it was trying to say. It's all about fighting fate, which is an ultimately hopeless goal. Anything that dares to comment on such an unnerving topic tends to send shivers down my spine in all the right ways.

The only games which made me ever cry so far were Ico and SotC (the endings, of course, and both bridge incidents).

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep probably got me the closest, I thought it had a beautiful yet tragic ending, and the unlockable secret movie was the icing on the cake, as it were.
