OT: I can't really think of any, I think my mind suppressed all of the bad things I've seen in games.

Since Giygas has already been said, I'm going to go with Doom 3. Nearish to the start of the game, you walk into a room and see a body with half its skin torn off impaled on the roof, on a hot looking vent thingy. Then it wakes up, and starts screaming in a suppressed way, calling some baddies, a demon alarm? Also from Doom 3, when you find the crying woman, she croaks 'help me', turns around, looking at the camera, while her face just... Pains and wrinkles up, then she turns and screams while her head decapitates itself and starts attacking... I had another, from another game, but I forgot while writing...

The plaster models from Bioshock. When I first found out that they bled when you hit them, I just stared at the screen in horror for a few seconds.

In Portal, the first time when you go Behind The Scenes in the android test chamber. Up to that point I had this feeling that something was off, but when I actually saw the improvised den of a previous test subject, I knew something was horribly wrong. Also, the first time you get to enter one of the observation rooms from the other side, only shortly after your 'escape', and realize that they were not simply empty when you passed by them in the test chambers, but they have been empty for years, just like the rest of the facility.

Not creepy, but I have the image stuck in my head of hundreds or Ork corpses piled around the bottom of the hill I was defending in Dawn of War. Not scripted, of course.

The most disturbing image I have seen yet in a game would be in Dark Corners of the Earth. Looking into a basement window early in the game, I saw a fish man corpse getting puled through an open door, which immediately after slammed shut. I didn't expect it is all.

Alot of people mention the F.E.A.R. ladder but I'm always surprised as to which ladder scene they linked, for me its this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvgDIS73JNg
first time playing through I don't think I've ever been happier falling off a ladder.

The people-turned-art in bioshock was pretty creepy. I'm trying to remember something else, but I just can't think of it right now...

I didn't know yet. Now excuse me while I walk away and cry about how I can't ever play Left 4 Dead 2 again.

OT:Those bunnies from Silent Hill 3. Watching my brother play that game freaked me out of my 10 year old mind...

Indie games for the win? The Path has it for me.

It's a true horror game in the fact that it isn't all just monsters jumping out at you. It's mostly implications, so the more you meditate on the deaths, the more you realize how important all the details are in telling an already horrific story. Ughhhh. I can't play any of it without somebody in the house. And it's bad then.

Of all the girls, Ginger's death was by far the worst for me and still sticks in my head.

The Girl in White, the only friend and beacon of hope in the entire game, calling out to you at each point in the game to go back to the path and your mother's instruction, turned out to be Ginger's "wolf". She was a friend to the other girls, holding hands and playing.

The theme rang disturbingly demonic.

Wow, I take it not many people play the fatal frame seires. I have been scared shitless at least once with each of the fatal frame games. Try playing it at around sundown with the AC on and curtains drawn. I have only played that game by myself twice. Google it, fatal frame is a game not to be missed if you want a good horror experience imo.

EDIT: this is coming from a person that did not even flinch once playing dead space. That game was more of an action shooter where you have too much health and ammo for it to be a horror. Oh and the statis... really? I did not use it a single time through normal mode to slow down enemies (... because I did not know you could... eek) only to slow down thsoe doors etc. Don't get me wrong, I really liked it and completed it twice (with the power armour).
