Have you ever played through a game and completely missed a game play feature?

A friend of mine played the both of the first two ME games as a soldier before realizing there was a pause function or that you could use powers.

The really long getting killed by a grapple animation in ME3 singleplayer were apparently quicktime events. I had no idea until I beat the game and played multiplayer.
Wait, what? Does this mean I don't have to just sit there and get my face eaten by a banshee? Explain how
Mash 'F' to not die.
Seriously? Huh never once occurred to me to try that. In addition to the press x to not die thing with the Banshee grab it appears that the select button is a quicksave button for ME3 on the 360

ME3:
Never realized I had credits
Never realized you could buy the upgraded version of weapons
Never realized you could choose a special power for your Shep
Never realized there was a quicksave button

Oh and in Shadow of the Collosus, I didnt know about the bow. I think I tried to kill Wall Shadow about 30 times before my brother showed me it.

Halo: Reach's Needle Rifle is a fully automatic weapon.
Figured this out after a year of owning the game when I accidentally held down RT with my knee.
