Have you ever used a "N00b" tactic

I used an M16 with an ACOG scope and increased hip-fire towards the end of my Modern Warfare (first one) multiplayer campaign. I'm so ashamed I wish I could take it back.

I've been accused of spamming while playing with Mitzerugi in soul caliber 4, but I think I was and I don't play on the internet often.
I definitely spam in Marvel vs. Capcom two tough, not going to lie.

well, I usually use the grenade launchers in MW2, but I don't use them for cheap kills, you know, shooting them to explode wherever it goes, I just use them for direct impacts =P

that and using the tactic of sniping that gets me the title of "camper"

(you know that sniping is staying in one place *that you decide before you play the map* and using only the sniper+scope right? while camping is just being a cheap bastard who hides and tramps people with powerful weapons, like, corner-camping people with the chainsaw ready in Gears of War)

In World of Tanks.
Been called a noob for advancing alongside 2 Heavy Tanks and another medium, over the left side of a Map.
We´ve been called "noob rushers" (even tho our advance was slowly and carefull) and been said "we´d die for sure".
We killed over half of the enemies tanks, all their Artillery and pretty much won the round single handedly, because the other sides advance (much bigger and faced less enemies no less) probably got the luck of being Artillery target practice, even tho we (and me personally) took some shelling too.
Oh, and I survived with 20 hp left, a shot track, damaged optics and gun...got massive XP but also had to pay alot for repairs.

I think I'm the only person in the world that attacks the teleporter entrance.
I do too, but pray tell, how do you get to the entrance if all access to the next stage area are blocked off just before Badwater's Point C chokepoint?
Go Scout; equip Bonk. Being fast, maneuverable, and invincible will get you past any choke point.
You'd be running from the top of the hill on the Blu side of the basin all the way to past around the corner at C. Even then you might still be in the line of fire for my sentry, assuming you made it through the basin itself without being accosted by Medics, Heavies, Pyros, Soldiers or other scouts already there.

I've been called a noob for getting a perfect round on an Arakune who kept falling into Tager's Sledge whiff - 720 combo. His fault for getting back up too early.

I sometimes use a backburning pyro in TF2.

I am sometimes called a noob for doing so, even though I will be at the top of the ladder and constantly switching characters. The backburner is an excellent way to ambush people and you can use it to wipe out a chain of enemies from behind.

I had this one incident when playing Heroes of Newerth that seems particularly fitting...Havn't played that game in a while though.

I joined one of the random games there, and tried to talk to my four partners about which characters we would be choosing. They proceeded to completly ignore me so I just chose my favorite (and best) character: that little squirrel guy in the mech who's name I can't remember. They all chose carries.

For those who don't know, all carries is pretty much the worst possible team combination I can think of. Just terrible. I made sure to tell them so and they just told me to shut up.

Anyways the game started, I got my starting items, and I went to the right rune spawn thing, as per standard procedure. None of my allies did the same and I ended up getting killed in a 3vs1 fight where my supposed partners didn't do anything to help.

At that point everyone on my team starting calling me a noob and saying that I was going to make their team lose (despite having only died once) one guy even said that he would try to kick me if I died again.

I just flat out said that they were all terrible players, and that my death was their fault. Everyone knows to grab the little rune powerups at the start and I told them all that beforehand and that they should have gone to them with me, the reason I died was their own stupidity. I then told them that if I had made a mistake there I would be fine with owning up to it, but I didn't make a mistake, they did. I said they were all terrible players who chose a terrible hero combination and then just said that they were all going to get a terrible score. I pretty much said that if they wanted to criticise me they needed some actual skill to back it up and that they did not have the right to insult my playing when their own was so bad.

Then I predicted that me with my damage nuke squishy class would carry the game for our entire team at the end, and that I would do better than all of them, probably even all of them combined.

The whole tirade shut them up pretty quickly.

In the end I had like 32 of the 48 or so kills on my team and we won.

Those guys were so infuriating.

This post has gotten way bigger than I thought it would be. :/

Not really. I tend to steer clear from all the "noobish" stuff so I am free to whine and complain about it.

I despise people that take the easy root in video games.

When I get matched up against a fellow Zerg player in Starcraft II I always six pool because I'm afraid that they're going to six pool too.

i was playing blood gulch in halo ctf mode. i driving the warthog driving the warthog directly into the base door/opening, but i would jump out just before i hit the entrance. To add more chaos to injury i would have a partner crash the banshee into the top opening of the opponent while i bombard the base with rocket launcher and grenades. i would proceed with getting into the base while my partner has the flag and backing the hell out of dodge. It's noobish but it a combination of multiple noob tactics and that's what makes it brilliant. It usually only works once or twice.

I used grenade launchers in CoD, mostly to do the challenges. I've sniped in CoD (much better at it in Black Ops). I also shotgun the hell out of Black Ops, if anyone thinks that's cheap. I believe camping to be a perfectly viable tactic, yet I don't do it a whole lot outside of sniping. When fighting against campers, grenades and my shotgun/sniper rifle are my friends. I also think sniping and shotgunning are perfectly viable tactics and think of grenade launchers as minor to moderate annoyances at worst.

I've used Witchblading in MW2. It's not as overpowered as it's made out to be. If you see a guy running for you, then just shoot him.

I see nothing wrong with projectile spam in fighting games, yet I don't do it a lot for some reason. It probably would have saved me a few losses.

As many other people have said, I can't seem to get two kills in CoD without being called a noob. I do liberally use Last Stand on MW2 though, and usually kill myself with a flashbang before they get the points. Actually had someone flood my inbox with hate comments for that. Other than that, I cannon rush in SC2 sometimes, and I cheese when I'm feeling particularly noobish.

Also, I constantly get called a hacker in Combat Arms for burst-firing my assault rifle. Or for using a semi-auto sniper rifle (because apparently killing you in two shots is more of a noob tactic than killing you in one...go figure).

Like many other people I take whatever position and advantage is at my disposal to ensure I win. I find it funny when people whine in-game about someone being a noob for using a n00btube or camping or whatever. All of those can be handled with enough skill. My question to my in-game whiners, do you think actual soldiers call eachother noobs for taking strategic and advantageous positions? Probably not, the point is to win at all costs.

That I myself consider noobish? No.
That others do? You betcha.
Lets see..
Playing Guy on Super Street Fighter IV
Playing E.Honda on Super Street Fighter IV
Playing Makoto on Super Street Fighter IV
Using a rain dance team in a pokemon Wi-Fi battle
Using the AUG on Counter-Strike: Source
Playing as Assault on Day of Defeat: Source
Using the Backburner on Team Fortress 2 (I only use it on occasion and even then its just for variation)
Playing Night Elves on Warcraft 3
Playing Zerg on Starcraft 2
Playing Sisters of Battle on Dawn of War
Playing Dark Eldar on Dawn of War
Playing Tyranid's on Dawn of War 2
Using a Faith Claymore build on Demon's Souls
Using a Bramd build on Demon's Souls (Albeit a bad build, it was an experiment and it was fun. Plus I did get a fair amount of kills)
Using the Energy Sword on any HALO game that has it included.
Using the Grenade Launcher on Resistance 2
Using the "Loch 'n Load" on Team Fortress 2

Thats all I can think of for now.

I am horrible at FPS games. Thus when forced to play COD with my boyfriend and other young male friends I resorted to the Rocket Launcher. I still failed to kill any opponents ;___;
