At first I was thinking it was going to be a L4D clone, but after watching the gameplay it looks like it will be pretty original, and it looks badass

This reminds me of borderlands for some reason. Too bad my computer can't run newer games.

Wow... Borderlands + Crysis + Left 4 Dead = WIN.

This has already became my next game to look forward.

Looks like a surprisingly good game, they've really pinpointed the experience they wanted and just went with it, trimming out what isn't going to be fun in the end. Admirable design work, I must say. I'll never get to play this sick murder simulator/terrorist weapon, but I'm betting the rest of the world's gonna love it.

In summary:

Melee weapons? Huh. Well, I hope everyone outside Australia has fun with this game.

Where the hell is my dark, atmospheric zombie game?!

Damn you all, I hope you get infected with the T virus!

Oh well, the bastard child of Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising will have some fans I guess.

EDIT: Why can't I get a bastard child of Amnesia and Resident Evil???

However, maybe I got you wrong. Maybe you are implying a more resource-based zombie game, where you can't just mow down the zombies but instead have to hide and avoid them, like "combat" worked in amnesia.
Yep. Less silly weapon crafting / killing of hordes, more survival horror.
I just posted what I felt about this in a different thread >_<
Though this was the general gist of what was said.

Get rid of the HUD and the one liners, add more zombies and realism.

They really didn't look far for their ideas did they?

A workbench where you can make weapons like explosive knives and electric machetes
A special zombie that charges at you and another that explodes on you
I could go on...

And no offence, but that is not a good guy to choose for a commentary. All he did was say "and look it's dark"

Well, it's certainly evolved from what the trailer suggested...INTO SOMETHING AWESOME. It looks like a cross between Left 4 Dead and Borderlands to me, with heavy emphasis on melee based combat. Sure, graphics aren't all that amazing, but they seem good enough to me. Should be laugh, at any rate.

I just can't help but imagine someone in a nanosuit showing up when I think about this trailer, besides that it looks good.

Eh, not impressed. The NPCs were uncanny-valley residents and the physics engine seemed a bit weird (notice when he hits the first zombie with his car? Or when he threw his baseball-bat to make propane-tanks explode - however that fucking works - and the bat is right next to the tanks on the ground when he picks it up?)
Also..Why would ANYONE want to go melee-range and fight zombies? Not afraid of infection, are we?

Hm, I don't like the number spam, and the typical Diablo-esque names of those weapons looks rather silly as well. I just hope it can retain the emotional strength portrayed in the first trailer. I want a horrifying, serious and mature zombie survival game, not another corny zombie hunting game.

I'm intrigued apart from one thing; First-person melee combat.

...Oh wait, it's even worse: First-person melee combat with a fatigue bar. *ugh*
Not seeing what's so bad about that. Given, not a lot of games have done that well, many of the missing the feeling of connecting your strikes. But this game seems to fix that. I'd say L4D2 did it well as well. Zeno Clash as well.

I hhave to admit, this did not fill me with confidence for the game. The combat just seemed dull, not in that it's primarily melee, but that it all seemed to be either swing, knock over, swing again, or wait for enemy to charge, take hit then swing. Oh yeah and throw your weapons until you only have one to start.

Frankly i'm dissapoint. I expected an atmospheric dark zombie game. This is with points n' stuff.. Not my style..
