Honestly who cares? That's between them and whoever they bone down with. Here's the thing, almost everything I say or think about trans people is informed entirely by what I've heard trans people say.
To be totally honest, I don't really get it. I don't know what it means to "feel" male, I just am a male. I don't actually understand how any of it works. I just have enough faith in people that they know themselves better than I know them and I know I don't need to have strong feelings about everything. So fuck it, live and let live. I don't want to be an asshole, I want to treat people with respect. I mean I'll do my best to understand but honestly it's nobody's job to make me understand so I just go with accepting.
Well you say they don't need to worry about the check boxes and spreadsheets, but what if they do?
Then they can take it up with Page if that's an issue for them, and they can hash that out, or just not have a relationship. And it's still not my business. I mean nothing is going to be solved about the ups and downs about relationships in general, much less the extra layers of complexity for LGBTQ on a fucking gaming forum, so it's basically just stupid comments that inform and/or solve nothing.
It was also a full decade ago (fuuuuuck) so I think happy's point stands that he's been working for years just not in anything huge.
Yeah he was in that, and several other big budget titles, like the last 2 XMen films, so it's hardly like he just did Juno and then fell off the radar. I did forget about Inception and him being in it though. It's odd, I forget about that film a lot, despite having loved the hell out of it. Dream themed films are like crack for me, and that film was all about dream stuff. But...yeah just don't remember much detail about it.
Does this mean that somebody's going to have to change Ellen Page to Elliot Page in the Inception end credits?
I would think that if you want acceptance, then understanding is a prerequisite to that. Telling people to shove off because it's none of their business, and that they shouldn't care doesn't help.

They are of course. But you could just not be hostile. I dunno, when I was a kid a guy named Eddie moved away and years later came back after transitioning and was named aleesha and nobody batted an eye at it. She was just accepted. I was a child. At 30 I don't understand so I definitely didn't understand at 8. Didn't need to understand. Trying to understand is noble but it's not a prerequisite for respect. Why do people need to have strong opinions on everything? You don't know or understand most things. Practically 100% of things actually.
That might work for an individual, but politely asking millions of people not to be hostile towards any given idea has never worked in the history of the world.

So how would knowing the miniscule details of how genderbenders navigate their sexual encounters help those people in this context?
If not knowing those details inspires them to violence they were always going to react violently to something they dont understand and are just looking for an excuse
