But he's dead, isn't he? I thought that was the point of the arc.

This was one of the best and most straight forward story arcs in the strip's history.

What about a few strips involving Penny and the rest of the long lost cast? They showed up for that one pic strip recently but we never see them at the office anymore.

Cute (and sad) arc, though. They don't just see her as a goddess to be worshipped but also as their charge to be protected.

It looked to me to be Okami's paintbrush. Could be wrong, though.

Erin is a sucky animal owner. Why this doesn't surprise me?

She feeds them Skittles, what did you expect?

OT: Now I'm wondering, since there was a strip where Erin explained to Molly (was it Molly?) that she sometimes had to chew the Skittles for Suchong due to his age, how does she not notice that she doesn't have to do it anymore?

Is that a Bioshock reference? Is the rat named after the insane Chinese doctor in Bioshock? It just dawned on me?! Suchong has always been a slimy fucker, he transferred his mind into that of a rat!

...Unless there's some sort of secret agenda with the elders, possibly involving keeping the worthwhile mates in circulation and giving the "blessing" of being the next Suchong as a way of getting rid of them to a chocolate death? Only other option is that they avoid telling them that chocolate is poisonous to ensure that Suchong always looks as young as he is, due to more young rats to take his place?

But Skittles aren't chocolate. They're sugar and some kind of fruit flavoured stuff that may or may not actually come from real fruit. HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT SKITTLES ARE? GO BUY A PACK OF SKITTLES RIGHT NOW.
