From a game? Johnathan Morris from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. It's only saving graces were the soundtrack and the final battle,but Johnathan's design just screamed "Style". He's pretty much Indiana Jones in a longcoat!

From television? Gene Starwind. Why? He's a slacker with impeccable taste in spacecraft,has an epic longcoat,has more scar tissue than anything else,and he has a HANDGUN THAT CAN TAKE DOWN SPACECRAFT. FROM THE OUTSIDE. Top that.

Well, OK, I did make a few assumptions simply based on the first episode and poking around at it on the internet without trying to reveal too much to myself. Maybe I will watch it, when I finish Cowboy Bebop. Or Gurren Lagann, I saw the first bit of that and liked the insanity.

As for Elfen Lied, I've got a few things to say: 1) How is Lucy not a badass? As Lucy, not as Nyu? She just rips people apart by looking at them, people who know what she can do are afraid of her very proximity. 2) I did watch all of Elfen Lied, some parts two or three times. Certain times - like at the end, where Lucy and Kouta talk, or the beginning, or some other parts - are examples of how great the show could have been. Others - like, the rest of the show, are great examples of reasons why most anime sucks. Suffice it to say that I liked it and will watch it again, keeping in mind how much more it could have been if a few key changes (mostly to how Lucy's amnesia was handled, how Kouta is a dimwit, and how Yuka is a *****) had been made.

Erm, I don't think we're on the same page:

1) She is, didn't say she wasn't.
