Don't forget this physchotic break took about a week of him reading reports, it wasn't an instant change, and since his mum being JENOVA is actually a lie as well, how much of the information in those reports were lies or half truths designed by Hojo to send Sephiroth batshit insane.

He doesn't know about Lucrecia, and all those reports are standard project files. Sephiroth wasn't supposed to find the lab, nor did Hojo intend to drive him insane (he just took advantage of it for fun). EVERY bit of information "added" by the sequels (and prequels, yes, just to be clear) is either stupid or WRONG, cheapens the original game, and will be entirely ignored by me, and hopefully any other real fans of FFVII.

True and i'm not basing this on prequels/sequels of the game (since I haven't played them) and I do admit that Sephiroth doesn't find out about his real mother, though Cloud and party do, and the false information is speculation on my part but something I believe Hojo would do based on his character throughout the game.

Just remember, Hojo (in the original game) is a sexy beast.
